292 Tasting Notes
All of a sudden, this tea works for me.
I have been trying and trying and trying to learn to love this tea, because it just seems like something I SHOULD love… and tonight, I love it. I took my first steep and put it in a jar and stuck it in the fridge for tomorrow, and now I’m drinking the second steep slightly cooled with some ice cubes. It is seriously delicious, refreshing and creamy, and I am honestly considering ordering some more of this before it is gone.
Finally, Cocomint Cream. Finally.
Preparation
Quite enjoying this one. It reminds me of Cookie Dough, but without the nutty or caramel flavors. It’s very creamy and not too sweet. I’m heading out tonight to sample teas with a friend of mine before I have to do some work, and really wanted to try a couple Della Terra teas before I go over there. So far, they are quite tasty!
Preparation
Just finishing up my first cup of this – my very first Della Terra tea. I love the almond flavor, it’s very nutty and doesn’t taste all sweet like almond can sometimes. And the chocolate flavor seems dark, which I also appreciate. Or maybe that’s the black tea, I don’t know.
I do know that I’m liking it more as it cools, which seems to be a trend for me. Super hot tea just doesn’t do it for me, I guess.
Preparation
What a fantastic lime flavor. I like that it’s not too strong or too tart, and the yogurt bits give it this beautiful creamy taste and feel. I am enjoying it hot, but it is definitely getting better as it cools. Delicious tea, I am so glad I ordered this one.
EDIT: Just finished a jar of this that I left in my fridge from the second steep this morning. Gah, just as delicious cold. I will be doing that again.
Preparation
GAAAAAAAAAAH.
I was all like, ’I’m going to have some Cocomint Cream tonight. Or maybe I’ll toughen up and have a rooibos, and keep trying to like that.’ But then I couldn’t stop thinking about this tea, just sitting there in the tin, being delicious… and I had to drink it. Three incredible infusions later, it’s still bursting with flavor and I’m sad that I have to go to bed instead of drinking even more.
How is this so good?
EDIT: I steeped it one last time and put it in a jar in the fridge. We’ll see how it tastes in the morning.
EDIT AGAIN: Amazing. That is how it tastes in the morning. Of course. I have to order more of this.
Preparation
For curiosity’s sake, I enjoyed my second steep of this today with a splash of almond milk and a pinch of brown sugar. It’s a pretty delicious tea, and that seriously made it taste like dessert. Yum. I think I could get another pretty good infusion if I didn’t have to leave right away to take pictures of Valentine’s Day events around town. Stupid job.
Preparation
I was going to have something else today, but I could not resist the allure of cinnamon candy on Valentine’s Day.
Just so, so tasty. What a fantastic tea.
Preparation
This is a lot better than I thought it would be. It’s another sample that I got from a friend, and she loves pineapple more than any other fruit. I love it, too… but for some reason felt iffy about having it hot, in tea. I was totally wrong, it’s quite delicious. Especially paired with oolong, it’s a delicate kind of flavor that still allows the floral-y oolong to come through. I really enjoyed this cup, and I’m looking forward to finishing off my sample.
Preparation
This one is sweet and spicy and I love the anise… because I love anise. It has SO many berries and cinnamon sticks and anise stars, I don’t think I’ll get much out of my 50g bag, but it’s a nice tea to have around for cozy nights at home.
Preparation
This one I enjoyed, but I (think) the star anise is very Christmas-y for me, and I didn’t feel right drinking it any other time haha.
