90 Tasting Notes
D*MN this is good. It’s just so smooth, so spicy, so DRINKABLE.
I bought a 100 gram tin of this today after having worked my way through a couple less than 50g bags. I then realized I should have bought the collectors tin. I think I’ll be just fine to go back and pick one up tomorrow. I am going to want to have this one around for a while.
Don’t be afraid to steep it for 7 minutes! you won’t regret it!
When I first tried this tea I hated it. I was disappointed and ignroed it for months. Then one day, after being encouraged by a friend, I tried it with TWO perfect spoonfuls of leaves and a lot of agave.
WOW. It’s dark chocolate and spicy cinnamon and just a hint of coconutty vanilla.
Forget Read My Lips, THIS is the perfect chocolate tea. If you’ve had it before and disliked, or weren’t enthused, and you like chocolate, please, double the leaves, sweeten it liberally and try it again. Don’t overlook this hidden gem in the DT Collection
The first time I tried this tea I was radically unimpressed. However, I am so happy I finally came back to it. I can not stop drinking this. I steep it strong with honey and it’s a perfect end of the workday snack. Delicious.
I think I am off to buy a tin of it tomorrow because I literally can not stop wanting it.
I have been trying to figure out which teas I always need to have around, ones that are going to be my “standby’s.” More and more I think Cookie Dough, along with Checkmate and Read My Lips are it. (well, also my beloved Pumpkin Chai but that stuff is precious like rubies, for emergencies only)
I am enjoying this with a bit of brown sugar and vanilla almond milk. Also a glass of root beer but that’s neither here nor there.
Preparation
I am in love with this tea lately. It’s my go to iced tea, with honey and a dash of soy milk. However, I’ve been drinking it hot, with sugar and a dash of vanilla almond milk at home in the evening and it’s the most relaxing thing ever.
