From DAVIDsTEA

You might think tea drinking is a pretty tame pastime, but we like to imagine every new cup is an adventure. Don’t believe us? Try a sip of this exotic, fruity tisane and see where it takes you. Maybe you’ll find yourself floating in a violet-tinted lagoon, perfumed with fresh blueberries. Or perhaps you’ll be sunning yourself on a remote beach, digging into a freshly picked pineapple. Wherever you get whisked away, one thing is certain: you’re going to want to go there again.

Ingredients:
Candied pineapple (pineapple, cane sugar, citric acid, sulfur dioxide), blueberries, lemongrass, elderberries, cornflower petals, natural and artificial flavouring.

Price per 50g: $7.50

thanks for sharing with me cavocorax i think i might fall into the NO category for this tea. Not because it’s an awful tea, but because i can see it being a very inconsistent cup of tea. This particular cup has almost enough blueberry…but the pineapple is missing…there is too much lemongrass in this cup, and i enjoy lemon grass. So think that overall this tea has potential. but given that i feel like every cup is going to taste different, and i’ll only like 1 out of every 3 cups…it’s a pass for me. So close David’s tea… so close…

This one is alright. I got a sample in my last order. I got a kind of weird taste, possibly from the blueberries in this one. Overall it was not unpleasant, but not one I’d pay money for.

Hello, hi, Steepsters! Long time, no see. I haven’t had any new tea to review lately, and sometimes I feel a bit bad about leaving tasting notes for the same products over and over again, so I may have taken a little hiatus. But I can say I am happily back, because I am in supply of David’s Tea’s Spring Collection! It’s my first purchase from the company. (All my previous steeps were given to me.) I am excited.

So, basically, out of the collection, I decided to try Blue Lagoon first. I wanted a fruit infusion, and it has no caffeine; it won’t be affecting my night’s sleep. And I really like it! Smells beautifully first and foremost, and it tastes almost like blueberry candies. I can’t say I taste the lemongrass, but overall I am super in love with this.

Owlie loves blueberry. I love love love fruity teas. Love em. When the Blueberry Jam came out, I found I had to be really careful not to oversteep it because it got really bitter and gross. So I waited for a straight blueberry herbal, and while this isn’t it exactly, its pretty close. The worst thing that can happen with this tea is steeping too long and having a tiny bit of a soapy flavour. Which isn’t too bad and can be ignored.

Steep this one as a latte, and it tastes like blueberry pie. Not even kidding. Like legitimate blueberry pie. Hot, its very soothing and fruity and comforting. I haven’t tried it iced yet, mainly because up herein the Great White North… its still really white and cold and gross so iced tea is a no for me yet! This one was great to have with me at work when I had a sore throat.

Owlie approves.

The first time I tried this, was straight in milk.

Interesting and fun tea, I wouldn’t mind receiving it as a gift, but aside from 1 of the teas in the Spring sampler, I don’t see myself buying it again. It tastes a lot like the Blueberry-Lemonade flavor in the MIO brand, which that I’m fine with as each bottle is a few bucks and they can go a long way. This tea? Meh, no. I saw someone mention Lemon Myrtle, I still got some, so I’ll try it with that, but I doubt my attitude will improve.

Not super impressed, but maybe it needed more time to steep. There’s a bit of berry flavour, a bit of lemongrass, and a sweetness – I’m not entirely sure what it’s from. I imagine this would be a nice juice substitute for the summer; it certainly is rather odd warm.

ETA: Second infusion reminds me of blue raspberry, as well as… Razzleberry?? Some DT with raspberry and lemongrass, anyways. My thoughts on the tea are still the same, but I’ll give it a bit longer for the next cup. (Read: triple the time. Haha.)

Hmmm, I steeped this for five minutes and got a lot of flavor.

TheKesser

I found I had to steep it like 5-7 at least. I found the longer the better for this one.

Kittenna

I’ll give that a shot next time I brew it up. In retrospect, I don’t know why I gave it such a short infusion – I usually give herbals/rooibos at least 4 minutes.

Iced, this is really good. The berries are still the most prominent, but the pineapple comes out a little more iced than hot.

This tea is so lovely! I love the smell of pantene shampoo, and other delicious shampoos. This tea tastes like how I would imagine lovely shampoo would taste (so weird! I know) I drink it hot and straight-up. Its has such a well rounded flavour; there isn’t one fruit or other component that overpowers another. When its brewed its of a deep blue/purple colour, which is equally lovely. This tea is a new favourite! I love it so much I’ve already been through my 50g sample I bought, and have just ordered 250g online (gotta stock pile before its gone! Its limited edition)

I must try this as a cold brew!

Made this up as well as hot chocolate and apple cider for the brothers. It is a beautiful sunny day here but chilly so a hot beverage is nice. I forgot about it though and steeped it for ten minutes or more. After that, the aroma is a mix of blueberry pie filling and bubblebath. So sweet blueberry but also a bit artificial. Not unpleasant and totally expected. I love Davids blueberry jam but hate the stevia so was excited about this one. I am a bit leery of too much sweet from tbe pineapple though and willing to add some more lemon something to bring it to my liking. The beau and I love blueberry tea but it is hard to do right.

Steeped, it kinda tastes like blueberry baby food. I like it at first, then its too sweet and then I like the aftertaste. I think if I limit the pineapple per cup OR decrease them time OR add extra lemon myrtle or something this could be a good tea for me! I can see how this would be a good iced tea as my cup us cooling and if the beau gets on an iced kick I could have a bit of this but I ammore interested in it hot as that is how I drink my tea.

For now it is good but I need to alter my parameters to make it even better!

What a fantastic blueberry tea! I absolutely love this tea. It’s got some great flavour, plus it steeps a fantastic purple-ish colour and it has a nice lemony touch to it to make it a bit citrusy.

Such a great tea. I’m going to enjoy this one a lot.
