When I’m in the mood for something subtle, I really like white teas. I used up the last of my 25g to make a cup today. I don’t really know how to describe this tea, I guess it is subtly caramel flavoured, but I don’t find that too prominent. It may be the weird ratio that I got from this being the bottom of the bag, but I’m finding it predominantly coconut today. It actually reminds me a lot of Coconut Grove, now that I’m thinking about it. Overall it’s quite light and refreshing!

I felt this was kind of obligatory. I mean, who doesn’t want roses and chocolate on Valentine’s Day? ;)

I go through phases with tea where I’ll have one that I really love and that’s all I feel like drinking, all day for multiple days in a row. This is totally it for me. Sweet cinnamon goodness.

This tea used to be one of my top three favourites, and as much as I still love it I hardly find myself drinking it anymore.

I love Earl Grey flavour, but I find it can be kind of dull occasionally. That’s why I love this tea, because it adds a fruity note to it that is unexpected and very refreshing. Like Kusmi’s Prince Vladimir, I find myself drinking this in the morning most often.

And is it just me or do certain teas bring nostalgia? This is one of them for me. Whenever I smell or taste it, I feel like I’m transported back two years ago when I used to drink this tea all the time. It’s a weird feeling.

Wow I’ve been so bad at logging lately! School is crazy, of course. I can’t believe I’m almost done my second year of university.. so weird.

Anyway, the tea! I’ve finally discovered what this tastes like to me, a less spicy, toned down cinnamon heart, which I absolutely love. I think this is easily my favourite out of the order I placed with Della Terra. I decided to re-steep tonight because I’m already about half way or more through my 1oz pouch. The second steep was definitely lacking a bit in the usual cinnamon flavour, though it was just as sweet. I wonder if I should steep it longer the second time, maybe that would help!

This is actually fabulous as a latte. I did try it once already and forget to log it (oops) on it’s own and it was pretty underwhelming. It does remind me a lot of David’s Tea’s Red Velvet Cake, with a bit more vanilla to it. It’s turned a beigey pink colour from the milk which I think is kind of cute, but I digress. This tea is pretty typical as far as sweet, vanilla teas go, but I always enjoy them anyway.

This is quickly becoming my go to morning tea. Its one of few teas that I actually prefer with no additives. I think the quality of the tea itself makes a huge difference.

Hm, this tastes familiar. It’s a lot like my beloved Pumpkin Chai from David’s, a little sweeter though. It is missing one element that I liked a lot in Pumpkin Chai though, and that’s the bit of tartness from some sort of citrus. I feel like that really balances things out and because of that I can’t help but find this lacking just slightly.

After having dinner tonight my stomach was just not feeling right for some reason. As much as I’m not exactly a ginger fan, I know its good for settling the stomach, so I pulled out my unopened box of this. I made sure to steep it for a short amount of time so the ginger isn’t too strong.

It’s not too bad really, I probably wouldn’t ever drink this unless I was feeling nauseous, such as now, but it’s okay. Not sure if it’s going to help settle my stomach though, guess I’ll wait it out!

Della Terra was nice enough to send me a sample of this tea with my order, which is great because it’s a tea I was looking at to try next. I did sweeten this with a tiny bit of vanilla agave. I get mostly apple in this tea, there is a hint of spice as well, but the caramel aspect is sort of missing for me. To me, it tastes a lot like an apple cider, whereby it’s much less a tart, crisp apple, and more a warm, full-bodied apple taste, which I enjoy. Overall I’m glad I tried it, and I like it, but I probably won’t be rushing to order more.

I’m a Canadian, 18 year-old university student. I started drinking tea when I was young, my dad would make me Red Rose tea with milk and sugar, and I’d drink green tea with my stepmom. I only seriously started taking an interest a few years ago. I don’t go much beyond David’s Tea and Teavana right now but I’m really trying to branch out!
