This is mighty tasty folks! When i opened the bag it was like I had cracked open a bag full of those soft oatmeal cookies you can get at the store. How does it taste? Pretty damn good! I could use just a touch less cinnamon, though i suspect adding a bit of milk to this would work as well. I may have to try that next time. overall a pretty tasty dessert tea.

Breakfast tea!

Hmmm, I swore I have had a better cup of this. Maybe I didn’t get the ultimate spread of tea bits? It was quite heavy on the black flavor with not much spice or sweet. Hmmmm, well I have another 2 or 3 cups left, hopefully they come out as good as previous cups.

I hate when that happens. Esp since I’ve had this one before and it was sooooo good!

So I made this an hour or so ago and left it in my Timolino because I didn’t want to turn the kettle on more than once. (Now that I have the new one, it doesn’t plug into the stove for some reason, and we don’t have enough outlets so right now I’m using it on the kitchen counter, but I have to pack it up and put it on a shelf afterwards because our kitchen is TINY)

And I totally forgot what tea this was. But then I remembered and I did a happy little dance. It was driving me crazy.

I love oatmeal raisin cookies and I love this tea. Sadly, I love sugar and I’ve been going overboard with all the treats the past few days. I made Turkey Dinner™ but I didn’t expect people to show up with so many cookies and chips and caramel popcorn and turtles. :O Once it’s gone I won’t be so tempted but it’s just sitting there…

I just ate 3 cookies while I wrote this note. :P Cookies, with my cookie tea.

VariaTEA

I ate a giant cannoli while I wrote my last tea review so I get being tempted when something delicious is around. Damn you delicious sweets!!

Josie Jade

Omg I can’t stop eating cookies! There’s way too many tempting leftovers in my house right now. And I’m the only one home which means no ones watching while I sneak cookies throughout the day! Thank god these cookies are almost gone. :)

TeaLady441

Oh, I’d love a cannoli!
Also, yeah I really can’t wait until the cookies are gone and I can grow some willpower back…

What a depressing day. I missed my pysanka class today, which is a once-yearly deal, because I’m sick and need to finish a paper for tomorrow. Furthermore, my paper is already three times longer than what it has to be. Why won’t it just die?

This is five thousand times better with coconut milk. Wow. I can actually taste the raisin now! The flavours smoothly meld together and the cinnamon isn’t so 2D. Upping the rating a few notches because it is definitely much more enjoyable to drink.

Crowkettle

Where can you sign up for future one time annual pysanka classes?

Fjellrev

Apparently the Ukrainian Cultural Centre holds a class once a year during their annual Easter get-together thing. They have a bake and craft sale, lunch, and this class.

Sipdown! … 874. Yeah… my cupboard increased by 71 teas thanks to my swaps with Sil, Cavo, and all the tea I bought and sent via Sil. Yikes. I am dangerously close to 900 – better make some progress!

Anyhow, I pretty much maintain my position on this tea – it tastes much like DavidsTea’s Glitter & Gold – sweet, warm cinnamon – maybe with a bit of smoothness from the oatmeal. Tasty enough, but not super special for me, especially since I’ve recently gone off cinnamon-heavy teas.

TeaLady441

Hahah. You were doing so well! I thought maybe, just maybe, you could hit 800. :P

Fjellrev

What’s your record high? I can’t even imagine what 900 would even look like!

Kittenna

This is my record high, haha. I just keep hitting higher and higher. It’s terrible.
Also – I was soooooo close to hitting 800. 4 teas away. I think my Black Friday goal will have to be, like, 750. 750 would be admirable for me to reach, haha.

TeaLady441

We need to keep you away from your computer on Black Friday! That’ll probably help your cupboard the most!

Kittenna

Haha, for a second, I thought I might actually be in New Zealand on Black Friday! But alas, I will be back in Canada by then.

Terri HarpLady

sounds delicious!

CupofTree

oh MAN I really want to try this one. I just had a oatmeal raisin cookie yesterday, it was so good.

Azzrian

If you do their 10 dollar sampler packs it is SO worth it! The “samples” are pretty large! And there is a mix your own so you can pick the five flavors you want!
You could even get TWO of these :)

Yummers!

I never really cared for the dryness and texture of an actual oatmeal raisin cookie, so this tea is a great alternative. I shared a cup of this tea with my Dad, he thought it was “alright”, but he clearly wasn’t crazy about it. I suppose it’s not for everyone. In my opinion, the cookie flavors mix in such a lovely way over the black tea base. I imagine it would taste amazing with a touch of brown sugar, and maybe some milk, but I really enjoyed it as is and didn’t want to mess with good thing. Best of all, I got a solid 2 steeps out of the leaves. I’m glad I bought an oz of this rather than just a sample.

Della Terra Teas

Thank you! We are so glad you enjoyed it. :)

canadianadia

Yes, this is one of my favorites that I’ve tried from your company so far…oh and some of your chocolate teas are also superb. Mmmmmm…If it weren’t already past my bedtime, I’d be having some right now.

Four days without internet. Now that was no fun at all! Phew, glad that’s over. Anyhow… Thank you Azzrian!! this was SO good. Really captured the essence of a raisin cookie. A little spicy to, which I was not expecting.
At work now so don’t have the time to write the review this tea deserves :)

TeaBrat

Yeah my computer broke a few months ago and it wasn’t fuN!

Azzrian

Welcome back!! Glad you liked it! :) Its one of my favs from Della Terra!

Indigobloom

Amy: what a nightmare! I need to figure out a back up solution one of these days
Azzrian: Thanks again!! and now I know why you love it so much. YUM!!!

Had this in my timolino for the first time because I had to go to a training class for work, and I needed something portable. I tried this tea out in there because someone, maybe Kittenna, suggested it’s good for the travel mug. It did work pretty well. I’ve found that the timolino makes some of my teas taste thinned out. Anyone else experience that?

jessiwrites

I just posted about taking this one to work in my travel mug yesterday, I think. :)

And I don’t have a timolino, but I agree that my teas taste much better in my regular mug. However… I’d rather suffer with thinned out teas at work than no teas!

TeaLady441

A bit. I like to brew two timolino’s and then pour into a 6oz cup – stays hot and I can properly sip it. Of course this assumes you have room for another cup

Tealizzy

Oh, maybe it was you, Jessie!! I agree…would rather have thin tea than no tea. I wonder why that happens?

Cavocorax – good idea! Kind of like using it as a thermos and pouring into a separate cup!

Kittenna

I think it was probably Jessie, as I’ve only had this one once, though I think it might have been in a Timolino. I definitely do get the “thinner” (muted?) flavour in the travel mug. Even though my Timolino is 12oz., I typically use double the leaf that I would for an 8oz. cup when I’m brewing things up for it.

TeaLady441

Hmm.. doubling the leaf is a good idea too!

Tealizzy

Thanks for the tip Kittenna!

ohfancythat

Kittenna, where did you get a 12 oz Timolino??

TeaLady441

DavidsTea? That’s where I got mine.

Kittenna

Yep, the standard Timolino is 12 oz, so I found out. My Contigo mugs are bigger (I want to say 17oz, but that seems excessive, it might be 15).
