This tea is very good and I’m sad to see the last of it go. It smells strongly of vanilla nd tich fruit. The sip leads with astringency, then rich rum-like taste and heavy and sweet fruits. As it cools it becomes more mild.

Smells: Buttery, sweet like candied flowers.

Taste: Wow. I don’t like floral teas but this tastes great. Like a tea time cake topped with flowers while rolling around in the spring grass outside. It is very smooth and not astringent at all. Not too vegetal or grassy as some green teas can be. The after taste at the back of the throat is reminiscent of lettuce, but very faint.

This is one of the best green teas I’ve tried recently and it is very easy to brew. The rose does not add a perfume or soap taste like I’ve had in the past and it blends well with the green tea. The packaging recommended 3-7 minutes and I brewed it for 3 minutes with slightly cooled 175 degree water.

Smell, Dry: Sweet, reminds me of brown sugar and maple nut candies, with a hint of rum.
Smell, Wet: Much stronger maple and molasses smell that finishes with brown sugar and then black tea astringency

Tastes: very sweet, almost like a slice of fruitcake or gingerbread with a sugar glaze. As it cools, I get rich fruit notes such as plums and dates. The sip finishes with lightness and even slight cooling taste that keeps it from getting too heavy.

This is a very resilient tea that can stand up to long steep times. I wish it wasn’t pre-sweetened as it can get a little heavy and rich if not drinking as a dessert tea.

I really enjoy this tea whenever I’m feeling down. It has a lot of nutrients and seems to help with whatever ails me, whether headaches or a sore throat.

It smells savory, peppery with a hint of baked bread. The taste itself is much sweeter due to the rock sugar and dried fruits, though it’s kept from being to sweet by the flowers. I generally re-steep this and add more than the typical 8 ounces so that it isn’t too sweet.

This tea is not for me. It has an odd aftertaste that is almost soapy and overly floral. It is astringent and slightly savory in scent.

The scent is malty, dry, fresh, with a finish of caramel. The taste is surprisingly sweet, astringent, but in a refreshing way. Caramel, hints of cocoa, a little earthy and at times reminds me of a pu-erh. As it cools, the astringency increases and it has almost a “chewy” finish with hints of grain. The nots of grain increase and remind me of barley tea or fresh corn.
