Spice up your fall

Is there anything more autumnal than a pumpkin? If there is, we don’t wanna hear about it. Not when pumpkin can taste this good. This sweet and comforting, all-natural blend combines pumpkin, honeybush, cinnamon, cocoa and real maple crystals. The result? A warming taste of fall we just can’t get enough of. And since it’s caffeine-free, you can enjoy it all day and all night. Now that’s pumpkin to get excited about.

Re-review of this tea!

This is in the fond farewells on the DAVIDs website but I’ll see if I can grab more. This tea is amazing- especially compared to pumpkin cheesecake- bleh. A plain cup of this tea is kinda watery but as a latte (4 perfect spoonfuls in 8oz of 200F water steeped for 5 min and mixed with hot frothed 1% milk) makes a great pumpkin spice tea latte. Yes, you actually taste pumpkin (real chunks of it in here!) with spices and a touch of sweetness.

I have 2 more pumpkin teas to try out, but so far this is my fave.

I’ll just say this right now, not overly down with this tea.
Its not bad, but there is just no ‘WOW’ factor in this for me. I do like this better than the Pumpkin Mate, but I like Pumpkin Chai and Pumpkin Patch a whole lot more than this.

I don’t taste a lot of pumpkin in this, I do get a lot of the maple taste. This is the maple taste I was missing a bit from the Maple Sugar tea from last year.

This will not be a restock for me, but that is just my opinion.

Sipdown…I had the last of this, and I added milk to it. That seemed to make it go down better, but it is not my favourite. Sad, because I like honeybush, and all the things in this, so in theory, I should really like this…but there is something off tasting, and I am not sure what it is. Is it hidden licorice? Something in the artificial flavouring? I don’t know. I had hoped to find a nice comforting caffeine free blend for the cooler weather, but I don’t think this is it.

Sipdown. I made the last of this into a latte for my boyfriend and I. Except my milk frother didn’t want to work. :/ Even without the frothed milk it was still delish, I simmered 3 tsp in a pot on the stove in 1 cup water and 1 cup milk for about 20min. This tea is already sweet so I didn’t need to add any sugar.

Dry Leaf Nose: Aromatic spices, with a “freshly baked” pumpkin pie smell.

Liqueur: Deep orange color. Smells like fresh pumpkin with hints of nutmeg, clove and cinnamon
