Well, it seems that I am the only one who loves this tea. But I love everything ginger or grapefruit to start with, so I thought is was a brilliant idea to mix these flavours together. I had this cold brew overnight and it’s the most refreshing beverage I have ever had. I drank it ‘’western style’’ without any sweetener or milk. Of course, it’s tart (on the bitter side), due to the grapefruit peel and I can really feel a creamy side to it. I also get a lot of ginger, wich is a plus in my opinion. I can aslo taste the apples a bit, but mostly I get a mix of ginger and grapefruit. The smell is to die for. I understand that it’s not appealing to everyone but I will personnaly enjoy my 100 grams.

I don’t like this tea that much as it is. Not because it’s not good. But because I dislike the papaya that it contains. And you really can taste the papaya in it. So it’s a matter of my own personal taste and it has nothing to do with the tea’s taste and blend. I tried it hot and iced and I prefer it hot. What I really like about this tea is the little boost that it gives, especially in the morning. So I’ve bought an enormous quantity of this tea before I even had tasted it. And I hate to waste tea. What to do ? I made a big jug of it (cold brew method) and I’m mixing it with a quarter of unsweetened orange juice (12 ounces of tea with 3 ounces of orange juice). It’s surprisingly good! And it’s an interesting replacement for my traditional orange juice in the morning. UPDATE: I had the idea to cold brew it mixed with ‘’Sunny Citrus’’ (half and half) and it’s to die for. The hint of vanilla in ‘’Sunny Citrus’’ add a nice touch and the two mixed together makes the bitterness of the mate dissapear. It’s just fruity, sweet and very palatable.

I found this at 3.99$ CAD at my local Winners. I had to try it. But once I opened the sealed bag, I was not in love with the smell. I tried it plain and hot and it was okay. But not something that I will buy again. The name is very misleading. To me, it doesn’t taste like a Chaï. It taste more like a fruity and lightly spiced Rooibos. But I was not ready to give up so fast on this tea. So, the second time, I used 3 times the amount of tea, put 2 cinnamon sticks inside the mug (16 ounces) and added some hot unsweetened almond milk. It was definitely better that way. Still not my favorite. But I enjoyed it as a Cinnamon Latte.

I’ve started to drink tea very late in my life. Now, I just cannot live without it.
