From DAVIDsTEA

There’s nothing more nostalgic than a coconut macaroon. We’re not talking about the super-trendy French cookies here…for us, it’s all about the bake sale classic: chewy, golden coconut cookies dipped in rich dark chocolate. And with black tea, toasted coconut, cacao nibs, pecans and rock sugar, this rich, nutty blend is just as good as the real thing. The only difference? You don’t have to wait for a bake sale to get a taste.

Ingredients: Black tea, toasted coconut, coconut, pecans, cacao nibs, rock cane sugar, natural flavouring.
Contains pecans and coconut.

OMG is it possible i never logged this tea?

i purchased the 24 days of tea this year.
i have a bad habit of hoarding the tea samples so this year i’m hoping to drink them at a steady pace and on schedule.

i like this tea! better than i thought i would. i tend to not love david’s chocolatey ones so much.
yay 24 days of tea win.

In other news…
I got a hamster!
i’ve never had a hamster before. he better get ready to be spoiled rotten.

Sil

yay for pets! :)

Yeah! I normally don’t like their chocolate either but this one is awesome, in my opinion.

Ooh – what’s the hammy’s name? :D

Shmiracles

i settled on a name this weekend. I’m gonna stick with Oddree’s first suggestion and name him Bauhaus. When I posted it in a hamster message board this weekend someone said it’s the name of a swedish hardware store haha.
which is weird but also funny as heck.
Art Movement,
Goth Band,

I was recommended this tea by the David’s Tea algorithm on their website because I love Cardamom French Toast…like if you like that, you’ll love this. Well, they weren’t totally right nor totally wrong. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either. I found it a bit too oily or buttery, probably due to the coconut and pecans. It smells and tastes very chocolatey for sure. It would probably make a nice latte, but I only tried it hot.

I prepared this tea as per the instructions on the bag and added a little bit of milk, no sugar. To me, it smells very true to its name with strong chocolate and coconut notes, along with just a hint of almond. The taste isn’t overly strong, mainly black tea with a hint of dark chocolate and a lingering coconut after taste. While I’m not head over heels in love with this tea, its flavor is pleasant and I could see myself drinking it on a semi regular basis.

Tastes good iced, hot and as a latte (my favorite is as a latte). It reminds me of Samoas cookies, with the toasted coconut, cocoa and caramel flavors. Dessert in a cup.

I love this tea better iced than I do hot! It doesn’t need any sweetening either. I definitely want to do a proper review later

Very coconutty, a little chocolatey, very good with stevia and a splash of soy milk as an afternoon treat. Not at all bitter.

Mmmmm. Made as a latte it’s like coconut chocolate milk. Really good.

I’ve found that this tea is very mild. It steeps to a pale yellow colour and smells sweet and nutty. The taste is very smooth and pleasant but not very strong. Upon resteeping I added an additional .5 of a teaspoon to get the same sort of result as my first steep. This tea would be a nice treat from time to time but I can’t see me stocking it in my cupboard constantly.
