1886 Tasting Notes
Advent day 7! Wow, this tea smells incredible. Really strong passion fruit notes in the dry leaf. Brewed, the jasmine is much more prevalent. The passion fruit is much more mild flavor-wise, with mild citrus and jasmine at the forefront. I really loved this cup, it’s actually one of my favorites so far in the DF advent.
Flavors: Citrus, Jasmine, Passion Fruit
Just got this in a grab bag from 52Teas and had to brew it up as soon as I smelled it. The mango is sweet and juicy, and is nicely balances by the spice. It’s really, really excellent. I actually slurped down my cup pretty quickly, which I haven’t done with a tea in awhile.
Advent day 6! I’m generally not a huge fan of rooibos. I find it tastes like stick water+whatever over ingredients are in the tea. However, this one isn’t terrible! It does have a nice baked good quality, and a wee bit of spice. It’s a really smooth mouthfeel, which I’m enjoying. Stick flavor is minimal, which is always a plus for me!
I received this in one of my multiple orders from Necessiteas over the last few months. I’m really loving the blends I’ve tried! I probably would’t have chosen this for myself, so it was a nice surprise. I’ve also been having A LOT of really heavy teas lately, this morning in particular, and wanted something a bit more vibrant and bright. This definitely hit the spot! Zesty and packed full of bright citrus flavor. Really lemony, a bit of vanilla.
Flavors: Lemon, Lemon Zest, Lemongrass, Vanilla
Advent day 4! A robust chocolate flavor, that doesn’t have that synthetic profile so many chocolate teas suffer from. The apple definitely gives it a tanginess that is interesting with the chocolate. I love that it’s an herbal as well.
