15082 Tasting Notes
mmmmmm pulled this one out of the cupboard since i have a metric ton of this, zhu rong and LB…and my LB stash has been dwindling. Once again, i was reminded of m=just how much i love this tea. it’s similar to LB but not as cocoa like..but still there are familiarities between the two that make this cup also, a deliciously enjoyable substitute for my beloved LB that i need to hoard again.
Home from the BBQ now and trying to pack and get ready for tomorrow! woot woot!
dexter sent this one my way and i think i’m a fan. I brewed this western style to take to the BBQ with me since i knew i’d need something to keep me going. No maple added this time since i just wanted to get a sense of the tea sans additions. This was smooth and slightly malty. No floral notes that i detected, but then i was outside for a gorgeous afternoon with awesome friends…so not much as going to ruin that!
Sipdown! (now only 2 teas older than 6 months in my cupboard, and one to get through this month heh). I’ve enjoyed this tea from RiverTea. It’s malty and smooth and a decent average, every day sort of tea. It’s not going to rock your socks but its a nice enough cup when you want something that is unobtrusive and reliable. :)
had a go at this one this morning. I’m struggling to get ready to leave the house, mostly because i don’t want to. So i pulled this one out of the cupboard, hoping it would have enough bite to it, to get me going. Turns out, this is a decent black, with a little brightness to it…not sure how else to describe it. I can see this turning bitter fairly easily if over steeped. It was exactly what i needed to get going this morning, but in the grand scheme of things, i prefer other teas from stacy :)
oh dexter… you always spoil me. this is a lovely tea from Norbu and one i greatly enjoyed, though for the life of me, i can’t recall well enough to write a proper note. It was one of the teas that i had yesterday before running off to do my overnight and it was a great start to the evening. But man, it feels like i drank this a billion years ago. I’d be inclined to pick some of this one up again as it really was great.
Another from the wee small hours of the morning. I am officially exausted. 2 hour nap and now i’m up again because i have a friend obligation that i have to attend of my friends might just disown me. It’s the wedding/party celebration my friends are having here in toronto for those folks that didn’t make their wedding out at cape breton. My other half and i just could make it out there so we have to make sure we’re there for this. He’s already with them as he’s helping with the costco factor but i needed at least a little sleep. No idea how i’m going to get through today, since it’s head down there, hang out…then back home to pack for tomorrow’s trip and get organised with work for the morning…possibly more testing this evening for another deployment…and then i need sleep so that i can be functional with the vendor tomorrow night where we need to socialise. blech.
thankfully this tea is deliciously creamy and tasty, and managed to get me through the last bit of this morning. :)
This was also one of my teas last night for my overnight. It was a good start to the evening, though i wish i’d been able to bring more than just the 3 teas i brought with me heh must always go for familiarity on release evenings.
