HELLO Steepsters! It’s been MONTHS and MONTHS and I’m back! I’ve missed you! I just have to get used to the changes around here! LOL
Anyhow…LOVING this tea!
I enjoy sharing tea with friends and family…however…Assam Black Tea #8 from Zi Chun Tea Company is one that is quite hard to part with!

Iron Goddess Medium Grade Oolong Tea from Tea Setter is a pure delight! I’ll get right to it, folks! It’s been a while since I have enjoyed a Medium Grade Iron Goddess this much! It’s Semi-Floral and Semi-Juicy with a touch of juiciness and a hint of sweet. It has a fair amount of thickness to it for an Iron Goddess, too!
It stands up to multiple infusions. It’s amazing as-is and straight-up but very nice both hot and cold as well as with additions such as agave nectar. Delightful!

As many of you know I don’t like Hibiscus – but – I will try just about any tea once. This was a pleasant surprise! I’m so glad I tried it! The hibiscus is VERY gentle and totally makes sense. Paired with the cream – it’s a real winner! Both flavors are even-steven and done to perfection without interrupting the medium black Ceylon tea base. This is good hot or cold. It has a lovely combo of sour and sweet and cream and punch. All equal parts. A delight!

Here are some bits:
I agree this tea has multiple layers that are quite complex. I think that is what I like best about this offering! That AND that it’s certified by the Ethical Tea Partnership AND Fair Trade! That’s ALWAYS a PLUS.

It’s been a while since I had a Queen Mary tea and while I was in B-Lo area this past weekend I stopped by my new favorite store front…TeaLeafs. It was just a quick stop to get more of the beloved Fig Formosa Oolong that both hubby and I LOVE. But I bought two other teas, too! This was one of them!
This is bold, a bit brash, malty, and a semi-crusty floral type flavor to it especially in the aftertaste. The more it cools at room temp – it gets even more malty…both in taste/flavor and texture.
This is a beautifully bold tea to wake up to!
Is that grenadine? Why…YES…YES…it IS! Lovely! It’s a nice juicy flavor and nicely done – not over the top! The vanilla and cream flavors are just as nicely done, too!
Tea For All Reasons sure knows how to blend specialTEAs…and I love that about them! The Black tea base is of medium strength and the flavors really makes sense and shine here. They don’t SCREAM…but they shine!
Somewhat sweet but still brothy, too! This is very delicious! I’ve noticed it can get grassier tasting if infused for longer than a minute. On the other hand 2nd infusions and possible 3rd infusions are somewhat lemony…which I enjoyed, too! A versatile cuppa. Yum!
This is fairly smooth. Gently Sweet – much like a bit of sugar cane. Towards the end of the sip I can pick up on subtle peachy notes as well. First infusions hint at a bit of smoke but additional infusions the smoke flavors are diminished.
I do like this one a great deal, tho!
