652 Tasting Notes
What a beautiful green tea…. Such pretty leaves to look at! I may have accidentally slightly oversteeped this as it was a tad bitter, but that’s on me. I will try again because even slightly bitter this was so fresh and clean tasting….I don’t even know.
And the smell. Yum. Teavivre spoils me with their green teas!
Thank you for the sample!
Thank you to Teavivre for a sample of this!
I never thought I enjoyed unflavored green tea until I tried Teavivre’s. There is something amazing and special about being able to drink this bright, fresh, slightly vegetal and buttery green tea, knowing it was picked recently.
I actually used that tag line to tempt my husband’s cousin into having a mug with me. I think next time I would use the whole packet to maximize flavour and deliciousness… But I was happy to share with him some truly tasty green tea… Vs the dusty old crap we are accustomed to buying at local grocery stores.
She lives!! I’m still drinking tea, just not talking about it on Steepster.
Strange, how I love this.
Deciding what to make last night, and decided on this. I bought it on a whim and so of lad I did. Never thought I’d enjoy a scary smoky tea, but clearly the secret ingredient are maple and banana….this tea FTW.
Of course once it’s gone I will never be able to love it again. Sadness.
Bumping my rating up from 81!
I’m drinking a bunch of old favourites lately. Not so much trying new stuff. Though I totally have lots of new stuff to try!
I don’t like the pressure of feeling like I HAVE to write a review everytime I drink a cup of tea. Sometimes I just want to enjoy my tea. Though admittedly it’s always nice to check back and see if I’ve had something before, because lawd knows my memory isn’t what it used to be!
I still love this tea. It’s one I would restock. I drink it blasphemy style with milk (because supposedly the Darjeeling Gods get angry when you mix their tea with milk)……….. but it works for me!
Janelle sent me a sample of this, it’s a Butiki tea that I sadly never got the chance to try when it was actually still available.
I REALLY enjoyed it. I have enough left for another cup, and it’s been awhile since I had it, so this review is basically to say that I liked this tea, which I can never get again, and you can’t get it either. But, I liked it.
It was very tasty, the flavour combo was yum.
I’ll be back with more descriptive words after Round 2, whenever that is.
I bought a veritable mother load of this tea recently, so I can have it at work as often as I like. It’s still a favourite (naturally chocolatey) vanilla tea of mine. It’s also nice to support a Canadian tea company, ESPECIALLY given the horrendous state of our dollar currently!
Had some of this last night. It’s still good. Not necessarily 95 good, like my previous rating… but very good. I find there’s a taste that’s slightly OFF, a bit bleachy maybe?? Not sure which flavour my tongue is interpretting that way. I have a literal crap ton of this tea. I hope it lasts awhile in my tin!!
A bit behind on my reviews. Alas, sometimes I go through phases where I want to drink lots of tea without talking about it :)
This one was sent my way from the ever lovely Miss B via Sil…. Huge thanks to you both!
I was very interested in trying this, my obsession with trying ALL THE French teas and ALL the vanilla teas!
Sadly, now that I’ve had WP Golden Orchid and also Tippy’s “Not So Vanilla”, both made with real vanilla beans…. Anything less seems uncivilized.
I enjoyed drinking this one, but didn’t find it vanilla-y enough for me. And I really didn’t get too much chocolate at all! Which isn’t bad because me and chocolate flavoured teas don’t usually mix.
If I had had the foresight to check this page first, I would’ve thought to add some sugar, like Bonny did to bring out the dessert aspect.
Anyhow, I’m feeling very lucky to have had the opportunity to try a fancy French tea!! :)
Yeahhhhhhhh… had this a few more times, and I think I might even like it more than my other TTC love – Yuchi Wild Mountain Black.
It smells SO amazing, like raisins and honey and malt. And the taste is equally as potent! It never ceases to blow my mind how something this flavourful and delicious just came out of the ground at some point.
When I think about which tea I want at night, TTC is winning, lately. I am trying to force myself to drink other teas to knock my cupboard down some in order to justify the giant TTC order I’d love to place one day.
Dreams do come true!
Watch me… I’m about to rate this………… 100.
THE PERFECT TEA. (for me)
