I was skeptical with this tea, being a chocolate tea I thought i’d taste it and rather just have some hot chocolate. The smell is fantastic. It has a chocolate taste with a hint of fruit, and then a spice kicks in. I think I would like it with out the spice, since the flavor of the spice just throws it off for me. It’s an interesting blend, not my favorite, but very unique. I would say it is a must try just because I have not had another tea like it. Not sure what I am going to do with the rest of it.

This tea is my joy. I will always regret spending so much at Teavana, but I’ll just refer to the flavors for the sake of the review.

I LOVE the chili peppers. You can’t taste them in the tea but you can feel them when you drink it. The strawberry makes it sweet and tangy, the chocolate makes it warm and decadent, and the chili gives it an unexpected kick. I love ending my day with a pot of this tea, I don’t worry about my caffeine intake and it feels as indulgent as a cocktail for me.

I found this tea very enjoyable, however it lacks… something. I can’t quite place my finger on it.

By itself, it doesn’t seem complete as an overall flavor, thought sweet enough that added honey or sugar isn’t needed. However I find this tea is a GREAT flavor supplement to a strong assam or other black tea! The aroma is amazing too, fantastic chocolate scent with hints of that spice and strawberry behind it.

This is my favorite dessert tea. If I need a taste of chocolate that is warm, a bit spicy, and has a nice, thick mouth feel, this is my go to tea.

I brew this tea up with boiling water, 4 tsp to 16 ounces water. I let it steep a little extra time and always make sure my mug or cup is pre-warmed! I add about 1-2 tsp of Teavana’s White Gold Honey to the cup. That is what makes it a truly dessert like treat.

My first few cups of this tea I wasn’t sure about it – but I used too little tea and didn’t have the water hot enough. You really need to use a bit of extra tea and super hot water to get the best experience with this tea. I find drinking this after dinner feels luxurious and like I’m pampering myself – which leads to a relaxed mood and a good night of sleep!

This tea is kind of Blah by itself, but it mixes well with other Teavana teas, especially the Wild Orange Blossom.

Delightfully chocolatey with a tiny bit of kick. I love this as an evening tea, since it’s caffeine free. It’s a good replacement for dessert, and also blends pretty well with other teas and interestingly with coffee.

It was a long and good night last night. I needed a tea to wake me up and give me solid resolve for the rest of the day.

Just like The Purrfect Cup, I only have this mixed with Matevana. But, that being said, I’ve had Matevana on its own enough to know how it tastes.

DavidsTEA taught me that I love a chocolate tea with chili. Azteca Fire, with its strawberry notes, is lovely and sweet. I don’t drink this (or my blend) a lot because it’s a little too much for every day but it’s just enough for right now, nursing my seething hangover.

Love this tea! A chocoholics dream! Chilis and chocolate are awesome together! A very warm flavor. I steep it about 6 mins, love that deeper flavor. Oh and strawberries aren’t bad either :) it does taste cinnamony to me also :)

Second steeping was much better than the first and had much stronger chocolate flavor. I was a bit disappointed that I didn’t really find any “heat” in this mix, as that was the primary reason that I ordered it.

Agreed – the “heat” quality is definitely lacking. I dare Teavana to prove to me that chili pepper really was used in it; I have my doubts!
