This tea is a nice nutty-spicy tea. I can’t taste much toasted nut in it, it is more spicy than anything. Cinnamon is the spice I taste the most out of everything in this tea. It really takes over the tea in a not-so-good way. The coconut and fruit pieces give the tea a slight sweetness, which completes it and compliments the spices.

Hmm. Have to say, not a fan. I’ve tried this one several times, and my big problem with it is that it’s SWEET. Like, super sugary. So if that’s not a problem for you, you might enjoy this fine. As it is, it doesn’t taste very nutty to me. The maple syrupy-brown sugar taste is the strongest, I think, and then the cinnamon. There’s also some papaya in here I think, which bothers me a little. I like my spice/nut teas fairly fruit free. Mind you this is all personal preference. It makes a killer latte in the sense that it’s a strong flavour, goes good with milk, and is pre sweetened, but it’s not for me.

This tea doesn’t taste much like toasted nuts, but it’s delicious nonetheless. The main notes I got were cinnamon, apple, and caramel with a bit of a lemony finish. I use about 50% more tea than recommended and still this hardly tastes like it has any actual tea in it. Despite not being what I expected, it’s a great substitute for dessert.

Maybe the one I dislike the most form Teavana. This tea was recommended as a Formosa Nut oolong substitute. But it has nothing to do with almonds… it has so many flavors going on… and where is the oolong?? Why not be honest and say this tea is half rooibos? Wish they brought Formosa Nut oolong back!!

Even when I use double the recommended amount of this it always comes out super weak! Probably my least favorite Teavana tea. :(

I’m not sure why they call this Toasted Nut Brulee. I personally didn’t think it tasted nutty or like Creme Brulee. To me, it tasted a lot like apple cider (but with less apple flavor). Not a bad tea, just not at all what I expected.

Disclaimer: I am a tea newbie.

I had my first trip to Teavana today and couldn’t resist this one based on the amazing smell—sweet and nutty and cinnamony. Add the name—nuts and brulee (as in creme brulee), and I was sold.

As it was steeping, the smell reminded me of a my favorite Yankee Candle they no longer make, called Carrot Cake—the most delicious smell! The taste is just what I imagine a nut-flavored creme brulee would taste. Just delicious!

I steeped it a second time, and it was still good, but the cardamom and cinnamon flavors overpowered the former creamy flavor of the first steep.
