From Lupicia

STRAWBERRY & VANILLA is a superb green tea & matcha blend scented with tart strawberries and sweet vanilla. Brew it longer and try with milk. Its elegant, sweet fragrance is quite exquisite.

I brewed this hot, then let it sit in the fridge until cold. This is my favorite tea by lupicia, though this is my first time trying this. I absolutely loved it. It was quite refreshing, having it cold really brought out the floral taste from the marigold petals and had a mellow vanilla undertone. The strawberry aspect is not very strong when cold, but that didn’t detract from it at all.

Although it smells strongly of strawberry. it has more of a matcha taste to me. I bet it goes great with milk but sadly I have none. I wouldn’t reach for this everyday but it’s nice enough.

Love the scent of strawberries and cream. I taste some bitterness in my tea, but I think it’s because I’ve over-steeped it. I shall try to steep it under 2mins the next time.

I’m still trying to find a good steep time for this. The recommended 2 minutes & 30 seconds doesn’t have enough flavor for me but 3 minutes seems too bitter. Even so, it tastes pretty good and the smell is amazing.

Goes well iced. Not a big fan of this tea hot.

Sipdown 13 – 2024

Finished off a bag that I purchased in Paris. Lupicia fruit flavors are so, so good. This is no exception. I don’t really drink green tea anymore, but Lupicia flavored green blends are the exception.

When I was in Japan, the packaging of this tea caught my attention, so I bought it.

I never knew how strawberry and vanilla would taste while blended in tea, and my goodness this was so it.

I have an ultra sweet tooth so drinking this is just so good.

Every sip is strawberry goodness, and I love how there’s a sort of cream flavor that comes from the vanilla.

I have this greek honey that I use, and it goes so well with it!

I would say it’s a good substitute whenever you’re just wanting a quick fix of sugar.

2021 sipdown no. 20

I officially started my new spring term courses today!

This tea is really good. There’s a delightful creaminess and notes of strawberry in the background. The strawberry is not cloying or artificial at all. The green tea flavour is there, but falls to the background as well.

Thanks for sending this one Cameron!

Enjoyed this tea a lot more than I thought I would. I’ve never had vanilla in a green tea before but it marries really well with the strawberry flavoring here and lends a rich creaminess to the tea.

The tea smells and tastes like ripe, juicy strawberries dipped in whipped cream. It’s heavier on the cream than strawberry. Rich and buttery like creme brulee custard with a lingering white chocolate sweetness.

Prepared by mixing this tea with a straight green in about a 1:1 ratio and then cold brewed.

The lightness and perfect balance of fruit and vanilla is something I find refreshing. I used one teabag in a 2 cup teapot.
