I never go for the banana teas, but this one is SO good! It’s a light banana flavour with a real nice creaminess to it, which is probably from the meringue. I really enjoyed this one! I’ll have to get more soon.

The progress on the 250g I purchased on sale online last year is coming along nicely. I think I’m down to around 50g, and have been making cold brews every once in a while. I told myself to try to drink more of this up before the Swampwater comes in the mail (thanks again to Fay for letting me know about the free shipping promo!), which should be in a couple days.

It’s lost a bit of its flavour but I still enjoy it as long as I don’t brew it too strong since this has a tendency to brew up a little too sweet for my liking if I don’t watch the ratios. I need to remind myself to just make a bunch of tea whenever I get a chocolate craving because I have lost touch with that trick. I had a particularly awkward, messed up, slightly stressful day yesterday which led to buying a box of Halloween chocolate that was on sale and I ate quite a bit between yesterday evening and this afternoon. It really adds up, ugh. Now I feel horrible, physically and mentally. Stupid combination of hormones and emotional eating, which I at least normally defeat. But they won this time.

And DAVIDsTEA, Y U NO SEND PARCEL via Canada Post anymore? Purolator instead? My apartment buzzer doesn’t work meaning that unless I wait downstairs in the lobby until the delivery person comes, I have to spend half the bloody day bussing to a remote area in the city and back.

Glad you managed to get your hands on some Swampwater! Odd they don’t use Canada Post anymore. I wonder if they dropped them after they threatened the postal strike and just decided not to go back.

They ship Purolator?!!!!!! Why would they do that!!!??? I’m never home during the day and it’s the same in my world – pick up location is on the other side of the world and only open during business hours – I would NEVER be able to pick it up… sucks

I’m sure they just decided to stick with them since the strikes. I noticed their sketchy wording in regards to shipping in the FAQ section before placing the order and was worried this was going to happen, ugh. Oh well, now we all know for sure.

this as a latte is wonderful. not too sweet…and very much like a banana milshake with the hint of chocolate. LOVE it..and so glad i saw kristals note? i think it was, suggesting latte or i’d have missed out! if it was winter months, i’d be all over this!

Picked up 18 grams of this to try as a latte. Brewed the full 18 grams in 8 oz of boiling water for about 6 min, added a little vanilla agave, then mixed with frothed milk.

Oh my word, Banana split indeed. It’s sweet, ice cream-y and definitely tastes of banana. I think I shouldn’t have added any agave since there was sugar already in the tea. Otherwise this tastes amazing and is one of the best tea lattes I ever had. I am most certainly going to stock up on this.

Update: after drinking half of the latte my stomach started feeling upset. I have an egg intolerance and I suppose there’s enough meringue powder to upset my stomach. My rating still stays the same because it tastes amazing, but I will be unable to purchase any more :(

Just wow. So good. Had it once as an iced latte with cocoa powder. Also, I had it hot. IT’S SO GOOD! It perfectly fits its name! It literally tastes like a banana split all blended up and then heated up. You need to try it to believe me. I’m really tempted to get 250g.

I bought 40g of this based on the smell – my gamble paid off, this is great! A “sometimes” tea due to the sugar content but it makes a great dessert tea. The artificial taste is super strong if you steep it too much but it’s still a good cup if you like this type of tea – sweet, chocolatey, and I can barely taste the rooibos base. If you’re a purist this will not be your favourite.

Reminds me of bananas and Nesquick chocolate syrup more than a banana split – that was a staple dessert growing up! Between this and Hard Candy, David’s is reminding me of childhood this summer!

I was a little wary on trying this one, as I don’t like the dessert teas as much as the rest, and banana isn’t my flavour of choice, either. As predicted, this was sweet – not as sickly as I was expecting, which was a good thing. That said, while I finished off my mug (I originally brewed it hot, then decided I’d like it better iced), and there’s a little more in the sample I have, I don’t think I’ll be buying any more of this. I can see the tea’s appeal, but it’s just not for me.

This was such a wonderful tea. I am buying 100 more grams today. It reminds me of Banana Chocolate Rooibos from a few years ago. This is spectacular iced and will mix very well with some spiced rum.

OMG!!!! I LOVE it!!! I love chocolate and banana together and this tea delivers! I had it as a hot latte. Teavana tried to do a tea with banana and chocolate but failed miserably, but the David’s Tea version is AMAZING! I am definitely going to be stocking up on this one before it disappears from the shelf. It is a great dessert tea. I am sure it will be great as an iced latte as well. If you enjoy the chocolate-banana combination, I highly recommend this one.
