My mum was desperate to find something as delicious as DAVIDs Yellow Gem (very rare) and I told her NOT to try, she would be disappointed by her finds and nothing else could compare. She bought this, she hated it, I tried it, I hated it. I couldn’t get it to be bold enough. I tried different concentrations, longer steeps, hotter water, cooler water. Nothing worked and I am sorry, but I used the rest of it as a bath soak.

This was such a wonderful tea. I am buying 100 more grams today. It reminds me of Banana Chocolate Rooibos from a few years ago. This is spectacular iced and will mix very well with some spiced rum.

Iced 8 min or more 2 tsp 17 OZ / 500 ML

drank Jesse's Tea by DAVIDsTEA

3 years ago when I first tried this tea, I was head over heels. I found it very calming and exotic. Now, I find it tastes like soap. I guess as I age, I don’t love sweet teas as much. The rooibos also has a bizarre drying effect on the palate. I have about 50 grams left and when it’s gone, I won’t miss it.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have great brewing luck. My kettle can be set for different temps so I made sure to steep to ensure I didn’t singe the leaves. For some reason, it was still too bitter. I have found an alternate use. I brew about 2 cups and add w/ chicken broth, cornstarch etc.. for a very tasty gravy. Yum yum!

I was skeptical about it. The first smell of the bag smelled like a sushi roll with extra ginger. The 1st steep was bold, nice and spicy. Turns out I enjoy the 2nd steep much better. It is more mellow in flavour but still spicy. I hope they keep it. My fiance loves it so I will have to get more.

drank Coffee Pu'erh by DAVIDsTEA

Yummy yummy! Coffee Pu’erh in my tummy! I love this stuff. I drink it every day. I add no sugar or milk. I love strong, bold tea so I often steep it 10 minutes or longer. The only problem is it will go cold before it’s ready. It rarely re-steeps well so if I want more out of it, I steep 3-4 mins only and drink half the mug and then re-steep again w/ more hot water. I probably spend about $200/year on this tea alone. I’m a fool for DavidsTea
