From DAVIDsTEA

Some say that spring isn’t really here until you taste your first strawberry. Others say it officially starts when you have your first picnic. But this all natural, berries-and-cream tea has everything you need to jump-start the season – rich black tea, juicy berries and a decadent hint of creaminess. What better way to celebrate the best time of the year? If you’re feeling adventurous, try brewing an extra-strong shot and adding it to your next smoothie, milkshake or pancake batter.

I found this tea creamy and it has a very nice strawberry flavour to it. I did not find it bitter at all and the second steep was just as good as the first steep.

This is a great tea as a breakfast latte. The strawberry and cream flavour balances well with the black tea, and it doesn’t need agave or any sweetener. I might try it with a touch of vanilla agave the next time I drink it.

I also enjoy it with just a touch of warmed up cream.

I did not like this tea as it was too strong of a black tea and too mush of a creamy flavor. The strawberry for me was too light. It was fair but not great. Davis’s Tea is great though, just not this one.

This is certainly a tea for black tea and strawberry lovers. It’s a nice rich black tea infused with strawberries. I didn’t find it bitter as some people mentioned, I personally love me some strong black tea though. I enjoy this tea thoroughly and have already recommended it to people I know will enjoy it!

Meh. A little bitter, though I can taste the strawberry too. Maybe I just don’t really like black tea…the bitterness seems to be a common thread with me.

This is a fairly tasty tea with a nice strawberry flavor. There is also another flavor, not quite sour, not quite bitter that I don’t like. It detracts a little from the overall rating of this tea. This tea would rate a 95 if it wasn’t for that other flavor. This tea is better at 190 degrees than boiling, that much is certain. Drank it yesterday at boiling.

I brewed this one time in a 16oz Teavana Glass Perfect Tea Maker/Gravity Steeper with 3 tsp leaf and 190 degree water for 4 min.

SIPDOWN

Had the last of this in latte form. It wasn’t too bad, but I think I over did it on the milk as it wasn’t very strong. Either way, it was delicious. I have another strawberry tea that’s very similar so I’ll probably do that one in latte form also and use it up fast.

The good: I LOVE black teas (most of them anyway), but I had been disappointed with most of DT’s flavoured blacks in the last few years – most tasted of fruits and whatnot, and I could barely notice it being a black tea, if not for a hint of richness. This one doesn’t hide the tea as a background afterthought, you can fully taste the black tea, and it makes me so happy! Though slightly bitter, it’s not overly so as as to be unpleasant. Strawberry pairs quite well with the tea – I would easily imagine the 2 flavours marrying much better if tied by some added sugar, but I have a rule of never sweetening my teas. If you’re into adding sweetener, this tea might be even better for you!

The bad: I’m very mixed about the strawberry flavour. Part of it feels quite genuine, and part of it feels fake as hell. You know, like these overly sweet, puffy, pinkish strawberry-flavoured marshmallow candies? I can taste that, and it throws me off a bit.

But hey, black tea! I’m happy.
(For those wondering, the black tea itself feels like a regular breakfast blend, but of good quality.)

I tried this yesterday. Davids had the dry spring teas in glasses on the shelf. This one smelled good, but mild. I assumed it was because it had been sitting out.

I had a cup to go. It was quite weak. It was a mild creamy strawberry. If I had made it myself I would have thought that I had messed up.

I brought it home and stuck in the fridge, and mixed in some sugar. It was OK

This has a super strong smell and taste….definitely strawberries. Not even like a fake strawberry taste even. The strawberry is pretty spot on.
I just hate that they made this tea with a black tea base!
Fruity teas with a black tea bases just don’t taste right to me. No matter how strong the fruity flavors are, the black tea base just overwhelms it every time. :(
Sad times…
But glad I gave this one a try.
Thank you Megan Low for the sample! :D
