Overall this tea is pretty good. I think the flavours of chocolate and rasberry goes really well in this mate. I’m not sure how energizing it is for me, I dont feel it, but as I had said before, caffeane does not have an effect on me. If this tea ends up having an affect on me maybe I will make it my moning tea, but if not than idk. This tea is okay but it doesnt really speak to me. Its just meh. I might repurchase if im in the mood for it, it does have a nice blendy flavour to it.

I got more of this in my last DT order, just so good! Had it blended the other day with a smidge of Raspberry Vanilla Rooibos, very yummy! Definitely a keeper.

Wow. After drinking this tea I updated my little profile to reflect it as a new top 10 tea for me. I’ve had many chocolate flavored mate’s from different places, but this one is my new favorite. The chocolate is smooth with rich almond undertones, and there is a hint of that raspberry sweetness enmeshed within its rich taste. This tea will surely keep my spirits up as I tackle 7 hours of class today. Onward ho!

Just finished a cup of this…I wish I still didn’t feel so tired. Maybe my rocket engines have a problem. I dunno. This is the 2nd bag I’ve had, and it seems like I was a lot more hit with the 1st bag and miss with this bag in terms of flavour. I could definitely pick up more chocolate and raspberry when I first got this tea, but the last few infusions I have not tasted them. I still like this tea, for it’s lack of caffeine, but I do wonder now if I really do prefer this over Love Tea #7. Maybe I will make a 2nd cuppa before my shower and see. Maybe I just need something stronger today.

I just had a chocolate rocket latte the other day and found this as well! It wasn’t the same as I remembered it. Glad I’m not going crazy!

Really impressive, a Mate that need to be remembered!

I admit I was surprised because the tea actually smell like chocolate-banana with a hint of raspberry and taste like banana bread. There’s for sure a chocolate flavor in there.

So try it because you will love the way this tea impress your mouth! :)

Nice! I thought the raspberry smell reminds me a lot of Fantasy island, try it if you really like raspberry flavor!

I heard this one really wakes you up, so this is what I tried from the DavidsTea store this morning. At first it tasted to me like a chocolate bubble gum, but not in a bad way- it was too natural to turn me off totally. Afterward I read the description and realized the “bubblegum” I was getting must be be because of the raspberry: I couldn’t quite place the raspberry taste and it was coming to me as a bubble gum- even after reading the description it still sort of is. In fact, the raspberry comes out to me more than the chocolate.
The chocolate and the chickory seem to be buddies in this one and it kind of comes of as a slightly burnt milk chocolate taste. Not bad, but not my favorite. I’m more of a dark chocolate kind of girl.
I didn’t taste the base at all. I haven’t had a straight mate, so I didn’t really know what to look for. Plus the other tastes were pretty strong, so even if I did know what to taste, I may not have been able to pick it up.

I didn’t do this one justice today. I made it far too weak. I should have added more leaves to it.
But, I do love the combination of chocolate and almond and raspberry flavours. I find this tea to be very unique in itself.
I really wish I had made this one stronger as I really wanted to enjoy this tea properly. I know in the past when I’ve made it properly it always turns out so good. It is a wave of flavours that are just amazing.
Maybe tomorrow morning I’ll try again.

One of the four teas I received on Christmas.

I’m going to start by stating that I’ve never hate mate before. Sipping this, I get a powdery chocolate flavour, and a sort of deep taste, bakey—coca or mate, but it feels like a foreshadowing to the caffeine. Healthy energy drinkish.

There’s an almond scent (and a berry smell) that trails into the drink as well. Nice, sweet almond cocoa. Berry smell carries into the aftertaste, giving you… chocolately raspberries.

Looking through the ingredients, chicory—yes, I think that’s the bakey taste. It goes well with the cocoa.

I decided to grab a cup of this to go and I’m so glad I did! I love the raspberries and roasted chicory root. Just a very tasty Yerba mate! Will have to stock this one in my work drawer :)
