37 Tasting Notes
I have been meaning to try this tea for quite some time now because I really love pineapple, and I also looooove oolong. I needed a new oolong tea on my shelf because I finished my tin of Happy Kombucha (I need AT LEAST one oolong on my shelf at all times! <3). I went into my local David’s during my break at work this weekend and I asked for this one hot. Of course the new employee messed up my order an made it iced, but it is okay because it tasted amazing!!! It was so good that I had to go in the next day during my break at work to buy a lovely blue tin of it!!! I am glad to have this one as a part of my collection (:
One of my good friends got me a pack of this for my birthday, and if it wasn’t for her, I probably would not try this one because I am very selective of herbal teas because they are not my favourite (except for Cocomint Cream <3). The smell of this tea is very nice, I definately get the strawberries. At first sip it is very tart, I actually had to sweeten this one. I normally do not sweeten my teas, especially not herbals! Once sweetened it is pretty descent. I actually prefer this one iced. Overall this is an alright tea but I probably will not repurchase this one, but I am glad I got to try it.
Hmmmm that’s good to know. The other reviews made this sound so wonderfully amazing that I thought I should try some, but PERHAPS I should go for cocomint cream first. :P
Oh my goodness, I definitely reccomend cocomint cream. I have some steeping in a cup beside me right now and I am SO excited to drink it (:
Okay, I’m not going to lie. At first I was SO skeptical when I first heard about a cookie dough tea. I thought it sounded kind of gross, and I also doubted they would be able to make a tea actually taste like cookie dough. OH BOY, am I ever glad to say that I was wrong!!! This tea actually smells and tastes like cookie dough!!! And the fact that it is a white tea, I was even more skeptical because I thought it would become bitter, but I oversteeped it and it still tastes nice and sweet. This tea is definately a keeper, it is white tin worthy! Davids has done it again!!! * tears of joy *
Green tea + coconut + pineapple = three of my favourite things. I also looove walnuts as well. It is safe to say I enjoyed this tea. I actually really really enjoyed this tea. I usually prefer my green teas plain without any other ingrediants but this is such a lovely blend. I would love to buy some for my shelf at home but my sister has deadly nut allergies and I do not want to risk it. Unfortunately I am too scared to bring home a lot of amazing nutty teas because of her allergies. I will just have to enjoy this one in store (:
Funny story. Yesterday I was at work and I walked into the employee room for my break and I saw two DAVIDsTEA cups sitting on a table. I knew exactly who they belonged to because two co-workers of mine love tea and we have tea conversations all the time and confuse all of the other employees who do not really understand the language of tea (ie they get confused when we say words like oolong, rooibos, infuser, steep, etc). Anyways, so I was so curious to see what they were drinking so I grabbed their cups and smelled their tea to see if I could recognize what they had (and I was correct, Glitter and Gold & Forever Nuts). Yeah, I am a crazy person… no shame! So I started to crave Forever Nuts so I went to DAVIDs during my break and asked for that. The employee recomended that I try Sleigh Ride because it is quite similar to Forever Nuts so I did. I really enjoyed this tea. It was sweet and nutty (kind of like myself), and it also reminded me of a warm cup of apple cider. Yum.
For my birthday, it is safe to say that all of my gifts were tea-related. One of my best friends happened to get me a collectors tin of Pumkin Chai and I am so proud to call her my best friend. I absolutely love this tea! The pumkin flavour is there. Enough said. People rave over starbucks’ pumpkin spice lattes but if those people ever put Pumpkin Chai into their tea latte, DAVIDsTEA would be their new obsession.
I was so excited to see a new tea with coconut in it! Coconut is my most favourite flavor in the world!!! I was on my way to my part-time job and I got an email to my phone that informed me the winter 2012 collection is out and as soon as I read about Cocomint Cream I decided then and there that I would go into the mall before work and try it out.
I am not a huge fan of minty teas but this one is perfect. It tastes kind of like a candy cane which makes it perfect for the holiday season. I bought a 100g tin of this tea the other day, and I like this tea so much that I think I am going to buy a yellow tin for it (: Definately my favourite herbal tea , this will be a staple on my shelf forever and ever. I think I am going to go brew a pot right now, I am about to start my very first university essay which happens to be due tomorrow (oops!), and I really need something to calm me down and get into the writing mood. Wish me luck!
I love this tea, when I first smelled it, it was like I was smelling Mint Chocolate chip ice cream. I need to go back to David’s and get a tin of this. Good luck on the essay by the way.
Steepster, forever distracting us in both good and bad ways. I’m attempting to finish my take-home exam that is due tomorrow morning!
