I’m skipping B&B’s advent today of Rhubarb & Custard.  Another blend I only have a tiny bit remaining.
A sample from my order a couple months ago.  It’s a tea I’d drink for free but probably wouldn’t pay for.  I love raspberry but this is more hibiscus than raspberry.  Luckily I didn’t notice the mint here, I’d rather it be full raspberry. I did guzzle it down so fast with my dinner though that I had time for a second steep the same night.  That’s something I hardly ever do… usually the second steep is left for the next night.  The blend somehow dries my mouth right up, so maybe that is why I drank it so quickly.  But Harney can do better than this one!
Steep #1 // 20 minutes after boiling // 1-2 minute steep
Steep #2 // 2-3 minute steep
2022 sipdowns:  120

Might have to change your name to tea-guzzler if you keep up this pace. :P

tea-sipper

Haha, sure – “tea-guzzler” would certainly be a more interesting handle! I’m trying to fit a ton of sipdowns into the December last minute crunch time to meet my goal for the year, which means more tasting notes from me than usual. :D

I love Rhubarb & Custard, it’s definitely going to be part of my next order once my cupboard is under control.

Dustin

Tea Sipper sounds much more refined. Tea Guzzler is more like the cookie monster of tea drinking IMO, which I find amusing. Good luck on your sipdowns!

Most of the teas listed in my cupboard are actually sample sizes. I don’t really have 2,000 ounces of tea around here! Many of my teas have only one teaspoon left… maybe two. But I like keeping them in my cupboard list for reference to what I could be sipping. Usually, I write tasting notes once for each tea. I’m still drinking them, just not writing tasting notes each time!

I’m always in search of: Hattialli, Qu Hao black, Jin Jun Mei, teas using marshmallow root.

My dislikes: hibiscus, ginger (unless in chai), turmeric, bee pollen, charcoal type flavors

My ratings:
95-100 – Super awesome deliciousness favorites – cupboard essential
80-95 – Also pretty delicious
65-80 – Pretty good
50-65 – Okay
1-50 – Probably won’t want to sip it again

I’m planning on being a Steepsterer as long as there IS a Steepster, so if you’re not hearing from me, that means something happened to my health… if you know what I mean. (Or as evidenced by the great computer hiatus of 2019, something happened to my computer… I have a dumb phone so can’t access internet on that. As of 12/20/21 my wifi might start getting unreliable.)

Happy sipping!
