30 Tasting Notes
So my friend gave me the last of this tea, just enough for a sample. Mmm smells delicious and tastes pretty good too.
Im not a cranberry fan [jeeze I swear I’m one of the pickiest people when I think about how many times I say that in a review] HOWEVER I didn’t get too much cranberry taste, mainly apple and pear. In my books this was a yummy tea. Not something I will buy considering if I buy every tea I like, I’d never have enough room! Sadly my two cupboards of tea has overflowed onto the counter and I have a DT order, Teavana order and two swaps on the way.
Therefore if offered I would drink this again, just not going to purchase at this time being.
Flavors: Apple, Cranberry, Fruity, Pear, Sweet
Sip down!
Finishing off the sample that Ost sent me! Im not sure how I feel about this tea. I loved the smell, however the taste was disappointing. Maybe I under leafed in order to make a few cups out of this sample, or maybe the black tea base is just overpowering the other flavours… OR MAYBE I just hyped the tea up because of the name, whoops. Never the less I do taste the marshmallow and creamy-ness, however no graham or chocolate.
I like this tea. I don’t love it, but I like it. I have enjoyed trying this tea, and Della Terra teas in general! Thanks Ost!! Not sure if I would purchase this, however I keep smelling the eight candles by them and can’t wait to try that sample next :D and who knows if I like that, this may jump into the shopping cart too.
Flavors: Creamy, Marshmallow, Vanilla
So I mainly shop Davids as I have one in town and its what first got me into tea about a year ago! I had only recently noticed Teavana and clearly don’t have one near me therefore have never purchased. Well when planning a day trip (about 2 months ago now) I made sure to take note that a Teavana was near and would make my way there to give it a shot. I have to say I LOVE that they have so many samples in store (one thing I wish Davids would add… more samples!!!). Anyways!! I smelt it and i tried it and it was amazing! Alittle sweet, however I remember hearing that Teavana likes to overly sweeten their teas in store. Keeping that in mind and the fact that they had a deal at the time to buy 2 tins of their winter collection teas and a steeper, I was sold!
Fast forward holiday craziness and this being hidden in my cupboard I didn’t open the tin until tonight – face palm – So I opened the tin and made myself and my father a cup. Mmmm delicious. Creamy, chocolate-ly and minty. AND not as sweet as I remember from in store. Nothing needs to be added to this tea what so ever! I was quite pleased! BONUS: My father also enjoyed his cup!
I have to make a side note for those who compare this to DT white chocolate frost. I feel there should be no comparison. In my opinion these two teas are both amazing and for their own reasons. This is a dessert like sweet tea, whereas DTs WCF well it hits the sinuses with a bang because of the peppercorn making it more minty and pepper like, not so much dessert like.
Overall verdict: delicious dessert tea, perfect for a sweet tooth craving :)
Flavors: Cream, Creamy, Mint, White Chocolate
I cant believe I haven’t reviewed this tea yet! Shame on me for gulping it down and not raving about how fantastic it is!
I love love LOVE this tea! Its so delicious with the right amount of mint and creaminess. I got into DT’s just after the holidays last year and remember seeing this on the web specials. I didn’t purchase because I was new to tea and intimidated by the 250g sale bag, especially with not trying it. Well fast forward to this year and I’m in complete love! Didn’t purchase the 250g, however ive got the collectors tins plus another 50g in a bag. I should be good till next year! <3
Side note: mixed this with hot chocolate tonight, also super delicious!
Flavors: Creamy, Mint, Vanilla
I was so lucky to receive one perfect spoonful sample of this from a lovely lady in a tea loving fb group! I’m so happy to be able to try this. It smells like lush’s “Honey, I Washed The Kids” soap… and I LOVE that soap, so please tea be delicious….
- Steeps tea – YES! Its beee——licious! Mmmm. Such a smooth and creamy tea. I’m so tired at work and still have about 2 hrs left so this is definitely what I needed!
Also I’m so proud to say this is my first ever mate tea! Woohoo for trying an oolong last night and a mate tonight. I’m starting to feel more tea-versed.
Flavors: Creamy, Honey, Smooth
I received this tea from Ost in one of our swaps. She was so kind to send me this as I haven’t really tried basic tea. Ill admit I enjoy the fruity and dessert fun teas, and as my boyfriend would say “that’s not tea because tea is supposed to be leaves in water and not fruit!” Men… – rolls eyes -
Anyways, as for this tea it smells like jasmine. Very floral like, first few sips weren’t bad however after that I found it bitter and hard to get through I even added sugar and sadly still didn’t enjoy it. Who knows I may have over steeped I get easily distracted, however I’m not a fan :( Ill stick to my fruity and dessert teas haha. Really appreciate being able to try this as I wouldn’t purchase for myself :)
Flavors: Floral, Jasmine
So I decided to redeem one of my free 50g bags of tea with this a. because the name is just too cute and b. its not something I would buy for myself. I’m glad I did! I’m not an oolong drinker, honestly I believe this is one of my first oolong teas so I’m pleased with how it turned out! Plus it was free!
The smell is super super strong, so be warned! Also the leaves expand like crazy! Oh my gosh! Anyways, I steeped this for 4 minutes and it was a nice mix of strawberry and ginger. I didn’t really get the bubble gum taste everyone is talking about, however I am a fan of sweets so I wouldn’t have minded if I did :p
Fun fact: After I purchased this and went next door to the lush store, the lush employee was a fan of DT and needed to know what I purchased. She was excited I was going to try the Yogi Berry and told me that’s what was in her mug behind the till and its amazing iced. Cant wait to try this iced once the weather warms up!
Flavors: Berry, Ginger, Strawberry

So I’m sipping on this tea at work… I swear I get to enjoy more teas at work then home lately… Anyways when I opened my sample package the smell was an over whelming citrus, apple, mint. I immediately thought “yep, no way, this is an iced tea”. However being at work, and its winter, the option is hot. Therefore I’m drinking this hot and to be honest its not that bad. My original reaction, based on smell only, was an immediate no, thinking it would be a tart and minty tea mess. I’m happy to report its got a good apple like flavour with a hint of citrus and an undertone of light mint. The smell does throw me for a loop, however its not bad hot. It could of been worse.
I’m thinking for the remainder of my sample I will have to try this as an iced tea and see if I prefer it better that way. No recommendation as for me I personally am not fond of it, based on smell mainly and the taste doesn’t wow me, however if you like apple, citrus this could be great for you.
Flavors: Apple, Citrus, Mint
Thank you so much to OST for sending me this sample, Im a newb on steepster and have no idea how to tag or bold your name! But thank you so much for this tea sample. Ive had about 2 cups now and finishing up the last of the sample tonight. This is DELICIOUS! Reminds me so much of Davids red velvet and birthday cake tea. I doubt I will purchase this as I can get something similar from DT, but I loved being able to try this. Yumm.
Flavors: Cake, Sweet

Drinking this tea at work tonight, it honestly reminds me of mint chocolate rooibos but without as strong mint. I honestly don’t even know if mint is an ingredient in this, maybe I’m crazy for tasting it. I’m going to have to try mint chocolate rooibos again and compare the two. But my overall verdict of this tea is, delicious chocolate in a cup :)
Flavors: Chocolate, Mint
