90 Tasting Notes
I finally got around to make a cup of this.
I will say I was not disappointed with the description vs taste comparison. It has a nutty vegetal flavor just as promised, however I really don’t think I like the nutty/vegetal combination as a matter of personal preference.
Preparation
This tea, I’m so glad I got 100g because I’m in love. It had that warm buttery flavor I was really wishing it would have (since it was advertised as so) and it also had a flowery hint in it. I described it as a melted butter covered flower, which is surprisingly better than it sounds.
On the 1st re-steep their was not really any butter flavor, it had a vegetal flowery taste and was still very good.
I’ll update later on what a 2nd re-steep does to it.
Preparation
This tea is phenomenal! I am never a fan of straight blacks but this one I had to try when it said “creamy” I guess you get what you pay for because this has excellent quality. It’s sweet, nutty, and creamy. I’ll be purchasing a little bit more before it goes away :)
1st re-steep was okay, i definitely lost the creaminess. it now has a more astringent bitter black flavor. i would still repurchase though because the first steep is good
Preparation
I love this tea and have been stubbornly hanging on to about two cups worth of this since it came out last spring in hopes that I will be able to refill my tin. I love the creamy peachy candy flavor of it. I know people didn’t like that about it but whatever, I really think the sweet and creamy ones are awesome. I don’t always like berry teas when I want something fruity. This was my first love at DavidsTea.
This was my christmas morning tea while we were opening gifts :) it gave me the pick me up i needed to get through that because I didn’t sleep well last night and then I promptly crashed for an hour after gifts lol. i love the way this looks in the cup and it was delicious and sweet and orange-y
Here is another to-go cup review.
This was on my radar because so many people go crazy over it, which to me is a red flag. I always seem to hate the ones everyone loves so yet again I put it off… and now I’m not sure why I did. This was so yummy and creamy and fruity. I tasted what the description said and I am grateful for that because I feel like this tea could’ve gone very wrong. Way to go DT, another winner!
