Okay, guys, I don’t like chocolate. Not in the least bit. So I saw this tea sitting in the TTB.. I didn’t see any chunks of chocolate and my curiosity kept getting to me.. Finally, I thought, “when is the next time that I will have the opportunity to try this tea?” So I caved. I’m glad that I did:]
This tea is pretty darn good. I’m sure chocolate lovers would love this tea even more. It doesn’t taste too strongly of rooibos, too:] Just a tasty cup of tea:]

Apparently the way that I am drinking my tea is so humorous… my boyfriend just walked downstairs and started cracking up in laughter XD Yes, my cup is tiny, but I think it is adorable! Thought I would attach a picture for so you guys can enjoy my adorable, little mug! (https://www.flickr.com/photos/125647446@N05/14340903979/ )I like doing TTB taste tests this way so I can try virtually all the teas without completely stealing a tea that someone else in the line up can hardly wait to enjoy. :] Ta-DAH~
This tea has a sweet malty flavor to it much like a golden monkey. I expected this tea to be a bit plainer in flavor than it actually is, but it has several notes. I love the malt the most, but it has a slight essence of cinnamon or pepper that is so unexpected it is delicious. Although it is a light black tea in flavor, I’m really enjoying it.

My first sip in on this tea, I was not a fan. But the more that I drink it, the more amazing that it becomes. It tastes very heavily of lavender which is an odd flavor for me to encounter in a tea.. but just like when it is in sachets, it is very calming. This is perfect. Tons of people are coming over to my house today as my cousins from Texas are here… so we are throwing a party. I don’t like parties >.< There are too many people in a room at one time. No me gusta. Makes me just want to hide upstairs and lock my doors and never come out:P tehehe…oh, well.

Last caffeinated tea of the day… then off to herbals again!
Okay, you guys talk about this tea so often. I swear, every time that I go on Steepster there is a tastingnote talking about this tea. And oh man have I wanted to try this one.
Smelling the leaves, I did not smell any of the tantalizing flavors that the teanotes promised…sigh But upon taking a sip..Ahhhh, that’s the stuff. Vanilla you are such a stunner in this tea. Wow. What a happy tea. . I understand the excitement over this tea now. Thank you:]

My tin of this tea has a very powerful fruity scent! Maybe this one has lost some of its aroma from being in the traveling box. :P

Almonds and Rose. Interesting. I’m a pretty big cheerleader of almonds in tea when it is done right! And this one really makes me want to break out my pom poms:P tehehe. Very nice job, Teavana. I could actually see myself purchasing this one. The rose and almond flavors melt together much better than I expected that they would. It tasted a bit smooth and doughy, like an almond cookie…but with a lovely hint of rose. If you aren’t a huge fan of rose in teas, you still might want to grab a taste of this one.

First Pu-er ever! Man, I’m just ticking off my list of firsts:P tehehe.
I’ve got to say….this kind of tastes like dirt to me…>.< or maybe the unwashed, uncooked outside of a beet..mm, no. Not my cuppa tea. Maybe I’m doing something wrong… but I’m not a fan of it. At all. Since obviously I’m not well versed enough in pu-ers to rate this one, I’m leaving it unrated.

I feel like I’ve read on Steepster somewhere that you’re supposed to rinse Pu erhs? I’m not sure though. Hopefully someone with experience will see this thread and set the record straight :-)
That’s my understanding, too, mj. I have only tried “gringo” pu-erh so far (in blends and bags), but when I muster up the courage to brew one of the tuo cha (or whatever they’re called), I’ll definitely rinse first—because it smells like horse manure!!!!! If only I were kidding…
hahaha, well, I’m glad that I’m not the only one who is experiencing this issue. Guess I’ll have to look for this thread and try again:]
Yes, like mj said, definitely rinse a few second. Pu’erh is an aquired taste, but a good quality one is not supposed to taste like “dirt”. Never heard about IndigoTea so I can’t comment but I strongly recommend Mandala’s if you ever want to start getting into pu’erh :-)

Oh man, I’m definitely a sweets-loving kid in a candy store right now. So many delicious teas to try right now. This tea will officially be my first Butiki tea to date anddd it is one of the flavor off of my wishlist!^.^ So ooo, I could hardly contain my excitement! .Oh, sweet Thanksgiving! My gosh. So this year was the first year that I have tried pie:P It never appealed to me as a kid but my boyfriend loves it and has been trying to get me to try it for ages now. And this year I caved. And what on earth was I waiting for?? Pie is so gosh darn delicious! Oh man. My two favorite pies-apple and pumpkin. And this tea is a lovely rendition of pumpkin pie. Cinnamon and pumpkin and creaminess, oh my! . And I swear, the tea even has a rich, creamy texture to boot. Mm.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Cream, Pumpkin

Decided that it was probably best to squeeze in a few of the caffeine teas from the other TTB before it gets too late and the caffeine keeps me up all night… then I’d be up all night tasting teas :P tehehe.

This tea is different than what I was expecting. The name leads me to believe that it would have banana and guava in it. But to no avail. Luckily it does have some fruity notes, a bit mango-y to me. Actually, this reminds me of a black tea version of their green mango tea. Hmm. I’ll have to add some to the box so people can try both of these.. :]

Out of the whole box, this is the tea that jumped out at me the most. Yes! I want this one. I’m not even entirely sure why.. I really do like almonds and cream…but with so many other marvelous teas, why this one? I forced myself to wait a bit try this one as much as I yearned to reach for it earlier in my tasting bonanza. Luckily, it didn’t let me down. It’s delicious and almondy. I’m not getting too much of a creamy flavor, but this tea is so smooth, it doesn’t make too much of a difference. Yum. It kind of reminds me of Cheerios… hahaha, this is the second tea to evokes images of Cheerios in my brain. All that I need is the milk oolong from Teavivre and this tea, and it would be just like Cheerios and milk. Also, I’m enjoying the slight sweet apple note near the end of the sip. mm. It really is breakfast!

How did I miss this tea when I was doing my Adagio sequence yesterday? Oh, well, this tea served as a great change of pace from all the fruity teas that I have been sampling recently:P Oh, pancakes..This tea reminds me of maple syrup:D Which is really quite good. So I’m quite a small person, but for some reason I can out eat my 200 lb brother when it comes to pancakes. 30 full-sized pancakes in one sitting is not too difficult for me. Ihop never sees it coming when I walk in the door— especially after the Tough Mudder Run. Muahaha>:} But anyways, I’m a fan of maple syrup. This tea also has a lovely hazelnut with a touch of….. caramel?.. It is a bit strong of honeybush but I like that flavor, so I don’t mind. :P
Flavors: Hazelnut, Honey, Maple Syrup

Every time we go to Denmark, it’s tradition that I cook pancakes for the whole extended family. It has become a “thing” – one brother in law ate 16 pancakes last time. Full sized ones. He was SO sick.
Oh, man. That sounds amazing!!! :D But are pancakes from Denmark made with large sums of oil like the pannenkoeken from the Netherlands? I could easily see that being an issue for a stomach.
