Tea number three of the mystery box. I don’t know why this tea wasn’t in the steepster database, it’s delicious! :]

It’s a gorgeously cloudy day here in Seattle..and the Holland vs. Spain world cup game is on…and I have a dog cuddling up on my lap. So it’s an absolutely perfect day to drink my weight in tea :D

It’s probably the cloves, but this tastes like a chai to me. It’s delicious and the flavors really do dance over my tongue like in Tchaikovsky’s ballets. Mmm. Can’t wait to try this one as a latte. Della Terra, you have done it, again!

Loved that penguin belly slide after the goal! HUP HOLLAND! 1-1

Tea number two from my mystery box… yeah, I can tell these mystery boxes are going to be a new addiction for me…tehehe:P

This tea smells divine… and the leaves look absolutely gorgeous… but.. I don’t know what it is, I don’t like it. Maybe it’s the fact that I don’t like chocolate and the mint really isn’t that strong. Sitting here drinking it thinking about how I should like it.. but it’s just not doing it for me, too bad.

Leaving it unrated for a bit until my boyfriend can give me an unchocolate-biased review. :] I bet he will like it:]

My best friend ordered me a mystery box for finishing off the year at college..what I sweetie:]… This is my first tea from Della Terra and I’m in love.

This tea… oh my goodness..this is pure creaminess and sweetness in a cup. With just a hint of spices…mmm…mm.. I don’t know how they did it, obviously with the special Della Terra magic that they have in their store room, but this tea actually seemed a bit thicker to me… completely pulling together the whole eggnog name. AND…it resteeps well.. got two additional steeps:] Yeah, I’m a happy camper right now. When Christmas time rolls around, I’m going to need this tea in large quantities.

Awww, so thoughtful of your friend :-)

Yeah, she really surprised me^.^ Almost gave me a mini heart-attack of excitement when I found a package of Della Terra sitting on my bed when I got home!

Sounds awesome! Glad you’re enjoying the mystery box! :D

This was my first Davidstea!! And it’s all thanks to the amazing Ost for allowing me to try it!:]

This tea really did remind me of summertime. I drank it while listening to my lackluster Biology tea drone on and on… it’s really to bad he can’t teach because he is a nice guy. But luckily this tea helped me get through it by constantly reminding me just how close summer is:D
This tea has a beautiful autumn color when steeped. It tasted heavily of orange with a compliment of mango. It was a little tart at the beginning but finished off with a flavor that was akin to fresh orange juice..just not as intense. I didn’t taste pineapple, but it could have just been that particular cup. Over all, an awesome summertime tea. If it wasn’t so expensive, I’d be buying this in large quantities to ice:]

I’d like to give a huge shout out to the wonderful person known as Ost! She saved me from the dregs of Finals week and sent me some lovely teas to try. She took the dying out of studying :P tehehe..

This tea smells like strawberry ice cream :] It has a beautiful rose color. In the beginning it was was pretty tart.. but I did really like the smooth creamy taste that followed. On the tip of the tongue, it has a pretty artifical strawberry taste and on when it reaches the back, it has a tart bite to it. The white tea does not really take center stage as you can hardly taste it. But this tea rebrews well. I almost like the rebrewed tea better because it gets rid of the overwhelming tartness. And I found that it tasted better when lukewarm instead of cold or hot. interesting. Over all, it was a pretty decent tea:]

drank Mango Green by Adagio Teas

I opened this bag while I was still at school… and oh my goodness, it smells amazing! It smells just like a ripe, juicy mango. Then I proceeded to pass the bag around to my two friends making them smell the tea (tea>than English papers:P). One friend took a whiff of it and then another…and another.. haha. He couldn’t get enough of it! He said that he wished this scent came in an air freshener because he loved it that much! :P

Needless to say I was so excited to brew this tea once I got home.
I only let this tea steep for three minutes and that whole time I was pacing around the kitchen in excitement… finally I open the lid and a light green tea, mango infusion hit me. mmmmm. * happy dance *

This tea has a much lighter flavor than the smell was suggesting and oddly, I really like it. First you get the tantalizing smell as you sip, followed by the light but smooth green tea, and finishing off with a lingering mango note. Oh, yes..

After all the uber fruity tisanes that I have been drinking lately, this was refreshing. It is fruity without being too overly fruity. Can’t wait to try this iced!

But mmmmm.. That smell of the tea.. I’m just tempted to leave the bag open to scent my whole room!^.^

Not entirely sure how I feel about this tea. It tastes like someone decided to chew a stick of fruit gum at the same time as a stick of mint… it is surely interesting. I don’t really taste a watermelon flavor..but more of a generic melon cocktail. I do like the soothing chill that the mint gives my throat…so it does make a refreshing summer tea. I don’t think it was as tasty when it was chilled, but I tend to like hot teas better, anyways. I will definitely drink what I have, but probably won’t reorder it.

Drinking this tea while studying my 40+ plant species for my test on Wednesday… and I’m not sure whether I am having more trouble identifying my plants or the flavors in this tea.
One sip, I swear it tastes like red licorice.
Two sips, mmmm, I can taste that rooibos flavor coming through.
Three sips, berry explosion with the finest tinge of tartness.
Definitely no sugar necessary for this tea! The fruit sweetens it right up. The redishpurple color of the steeped tea is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely a perfect tea for reminding you of those hot, summer days. Can’t wait to try it iced.

This is definitely not my cuppa. It smells like orange jello in the cup…and tastes like watered down orange peel. I was expecting more from this tea. Granted, this tea is slightly better when chilled… so maybe I just need to play around with it for a bit longer.. Reading the other reviews, I should try to blend it with another tea. Will keep working with it.

You should try putting honey in it, it makes a world of difference :)

Thank you so much! I’ll have to try that on my next brew:]

drank Sour Apple by Adagio Teas
114 tasting notes

I’ve had this tea a few times now… and unfortunately it is just very ehh to me. It tastes a lot like green apple jolly ranchers which is amazing for the first sip, but loses its novelty about a quarter of the way through the cup.
This is definitely a sour tea but the apple taste is undeniable.
Now, I must admit, the first time I tried this tea it was midday and I was dancing about the house with my mug and this tea hit the spot. The second time trying it however, it was near bedtime and I didn’t manage to even get more than a few sips in before no longer wanting more. Perhaps this is one of those teas that fits a certain mood and not others.

Boiling 8 min or more 3 tsp 18 OZ / 532 ML

Bio

Tea is a new hobby of mine. The crazy amount of available teas is amazing and I’m just now wetting my toes. One of my favorite parts about teas is sharing it with my friends and family.. It is the best when you finally discover a tea that a “tea hater” loves. For me, tea is a bit of happiness in a mug and I’m always willing to explore.

Besides tea, I’m a scientist who adores long hikes in the mountains, dancing around the house listening to the Beatles (and other wonderful bands), and playing with my dog. Life is a beautiful thing that deserves to be explored and cherished.

I will try any tea at least once and my palate is continually changing as I delve deeper in the tea world, but these are my current preferences:
-Herbal
-Rooibos
-Interesting flavors (root beer float, ice cream cake, etc.)
-Fruity
-Nutty

And I would love to try a purple tea… :]

Shall we explore together?:]
