Amazing combination of the green tea, roasted rice and matcha. Just the right mix of vegetal and oceanic flavours. There’s a nice twinge of the grapefruit-y note that I normally find in oolongs in the aftertaste which I love. Flavours are very well balanced. Roasted rice note complements the flavour profile very nicely.

Preparation
Dull sweetness reminiscent taste of licorice and sometimes chamomile. Mineral and almost spicy flavour. I am detecting the typical white (what I call) swampy note. I was served this at PekoeTea and was presently surprised to discover that the tea in my pot (with free-floating tea leaves) did well even past the initial 3 minute infusion. It also held up well to subsequent infusions- about 2 re-infusions but I feel as if it could have taken more.

Preparation
This tea is missing the tartness I expect when I taste lime. It leaves everything feeling rather flat. The black tea is a smooth base with only a twinge of bitterness near the end of the sip. The lime flavour is dull- more of a present aroma than a full flavour. However, it does bring the attention to the nice black base

Preparation
I tried to be very conservative with brewing this tea as it seemed like it might be bitter. I can definitely taste the rich, malty tones but there is still quite a bit of bitterness. I might try using less dry leaf next time.

Very flavourful. I can taste the bread-y texture of the gingerbread in the top note. There’s a roasted cookie note. I don’t feel that green tea is the best pairing for this flavour.

I’ll keep that in mind when I try mine again, thanks Raritea!
