Smells amazing, tastes quite lovely, although that syrup “flavoring” didn’t add anything that I noticed. Drying as the cup cooled. It’s good, but not in love.

Something made this bitter after I stepped it too long (the cinnamon, is that even possible?) but otherwise this is a lovely, rich tea, with only a hint of heat. A new favorite treat.

Not like Kapha Organic? :D

MissB

Nope, nothing anywhere near as spicy as that!

Really liking this, although it’s more lime than anything – even with a steep so long, the water is ice cold. There’s a hint of ginger, but not enough for me to say, “YES! GINGER!” I loves me my ginger. Would I drink this again? Definitely. Likely often, if I had access to it.

I left this to steep at least an hour, in the hopes it would make me feel better. Oh gosh, this is a great ginger tea. It’s very spicy, with several layers to the heat and flavors. Mind you, you’d have to love turmeric to love this as well – it’s almost more a turmeric tea than a ginger one at this point. Regardless, I love it – I think my new favorite ginger tea.

Surprisingly tasty, more so unsweetened. Very minty with a hint of hay/medicinal taste to it, I could easily drink this all day when not feeling great (like today).

Flavors: Dandelion, Hay, Mint

Preparation

A refreshing drink….would recommend!

drank Lemon and Ginger by Barry's Tea

Wish I’d written down the ingredient list on this one; I’ll just have to grab more! This is box #2 so far of this, and I’m finding it a decent, if boring, cuppa before bed. Why this tea? Well, in Ireland, this is what’s readily available in every corner store without any sort of caffeination, and I love both ginger and lemon. Nothing fancy (nor expensive), I can count on this to settle me.

i really need to try the one you sent

MissB

You do! I’m pretty sure this is the one I sent… could be wrong though.

drank Apple Crunch by Twinings

This definitely tastes like a crisp, green apple. If you like apple tea, I’d put this at the top of the list to try, especially at the price point. Apple tea isn’t terribly high on my list though (unless perhaps it’s a baked apple crumble), so my rating is just okay.

Sounds good, but the ingredient list looks frightening, haha.

Wait, white hibiscus, what?!

MissB

Yea, both white and regular hibiscus listed in this one.

Hm. It’s okay. I mean, for an herbal tea that’s meant to be medicinal as opposed to tasty. Really drying on the tongue, smells a bit like lemon, sweetened has a faint hay-like lemon taste.

Flavors: Hay, Lemon

Preparation

drank Toffee by Harrods

Thick, almost syrupy brew in hard water. Tastes like a strong, solid black tea, with a weird (although authentic, I’d say) toffee flavoring. Needed some sweetening to make the flavors pop though.

Flavors: Thick, Toffee

Boiling 2 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 16 OZ / 473 ML

Profile

Bio

A few years ago, the obsession with tea started. The cupboard got bigger and bigger, more swaps occurred, group buys, secret rendezvous with local teapassionistas… and that’s how you end up with 500+ different kinds of tea in your home. At one time.

Almost all of the tea was given away, sold, or otherwise shared. A few relics still remain. I now travel full time with only two carryon bags to my name. One quarter of those bags are tea.

It’s still a challenge to avoid the chipmunk-like hoarding of The Teas, yet, the lightness of being from having so little compels me more.

If I have enough, I’m happy to share. If I’m in your area, I’d love to swap, meet for tea, and explore together.

As for the day-to-day stuff, I’m focused almost entirely on Love, (yes, with a capital L), Spirit/Self, transformation, travel and my writing and speaking work.

What kinds of teas do I normally like?

YES: flavored teas, fruity, dessert, chai, and spicy (REALLY spicy).

A FONDNESS FOR: all white teas, malty black teas, any herbal or medicinal teas, strange/weird teas you can only get in one place.

ALLERGIC TO: strawberries, lavender

DISLIKES: any added sugars, grains, lapsang souchong, and overly floral teas – I might enjoy a Jasmine Green every once in a while, but unless it’s a creamy floral tea (think roses in a chai, or the smoothness of a floral note in a French tea), I’ll likely pass. Earl Greys are a hit or miss with me; heavy on the cream or fruit notes and I might like it, heavy on the blergamot and I definitely won’t.
