The service here is excellent, although I may be biased because many of the staff now know me by name. I find the pricing ridiculous however, so I only go now when I’ve got a whack to replenish and it’s my “junk food” tea (read: the stuff that I love, yet am embarrassed to admit I do).
Stay away from the samples, as they’re heavily sweetened (unless you like drinking liquid sugar – then go for it!) They will make hot (or cold) tea to order though, and I love being able to grab something when I’m on the go. When DAVID’s Tea opens next month in this same mall however, I’ll likely shop there instead.
I LOVE this place, although it’s more of a bubble tea joint than hot tea – yet you’ll find a decent selection here if you really look (at the counter, just as you order, there’s a big sign with a list of about 20 teas and their properties).
I come here during the summer and winter months when I want to hunker down and work/write, however it’s extremely busy during the day so oftentimes I can get my tea fix, but am left chairless. Everything is made to order, and their waffles (two different kinds!) are divine. My favorite is the matcha tea ice cream with liege waffles and some fruit.
Prices are decent, they’ll gladly add or reduce the sweetener as you’d like, and they even have real taro. Open late every night of the week (“or until things die down”, as I’ve been told repeatedly). Seating indoor and out.
