Really Excellent. Light, pleasant, citrus without pucker, jasmine hints, no sour, no bitter, light color, pleasant hay- delicate but very nice. I can imagine getting a hankering for this often just to focus and relax. Smells fresh- good- not pungent in the least. I left the tea in the cup the entire time I drank it and it never got too strong.

This is a new genre of tea for me completely. It tastes like seaweed and spinach. Mellow and soft, it is not unpleasant but certainly new. It does not need anything to supplement it- I think this is a taste you acquire, I have not succeeded yet, it is just culturally very new and I will have to keep trying it and see if it sticks. Smells like warm seaweed, not overly strong, but not like anything else I have ever tasted in tea. Funky.

Are you sure you’re talking about premium black tea from Yunnan? Black tea isn’t really new culturally ;)

ohfancythat

I assume she meant new to her taste buds!

Heidi!

CORRECTSHESAID! I believe people have taste buds according to their typical diets, and I have not been exposed to those in this tea frequently, yet. While not unpleasant it is just new to me.

ohfancythat

I agree, that’s how i felt about laoshan black! Doesn’t mean it will never appeal to me!

So far we have only tried the Broccoli Cilantro and the Beet Cabbage- but I am seriously surprised that it was more pleasant than I expected. Further reading explains that the beet has cloves in it and the broccoli garlic so it feels a bit more like a soup from the expanded flavors circulating your tongue. I did notice that the garlic stuck a little- if you are headed to speak with people heads up! Savory is key here- but not bad.

Cracks me up that this is on here…now that I have tried Argo Earl Grey Creme this is pretty boring in comparison- but you know exactly what it is when you pick it up and Grandpa is still going to want his Twinings no matter how much I hop around and suggest a new kind-some things never change and I suppose in this case that’s allowed! :)

I’m with the sentimental lot on this one AND I really like cinnamon- lots of cinnamon- so I actually like this tea, no matter how “not cool” that makes me in liking a bag tea from…wait for it….Celestial Seasonings. I am old enuf to remember these folks when every flap of the box had poetry and sayings all over it and they had maybe 55 different kinds of tea in outrageous arty boxes. If you’ve ever been to Boulder this all makes sense. If I need a cup of warmth late at night with NO CAFFEINE or dieting and want NO SUGAR ADDED this is still my go to cheater tea.

Anyanka

I like some of them too, and I ain’t ashamed!

Heidi!

Thanks, that’s why I made the comment, I have to give them snaps for breaking out herbal tea long ago and STILL being around today!

Smells prettier than it tastes, but is very berry and tasty. I may have made mine too strong as it was a tad acidic and sour, or steeped it too long which is a common mistake I make because I tend to like tea strong. I had to add sweetener to this one and then it was really pleasant. trying to avoid sugar to taste the real flavors…but this time I cheated!

That happened to me the other day also. toooo strong!

I like this because it is not bitter- for a black tea, and seems to give me a nice punch in the wakeup zone. I cannot touch it after 3pm unless I want to finish reading a book til 4am, which is what happened…but it has a pleasant nice tangy flavor without having a miserable bite.

Warm fun winter tea- sweet and pretty pink, easy to drink, lacks depth or complication but is fun for a nice evening beverage to warm you up before bed. Not acidic- pretty mellow stuff.

This stuff is amazing, makes your lungs feel clear and capable and your throat like an opera singer’s. All that and it tastes really good too. If you are a runner or athlete, this may be good just to drink before a workout- tho no caffeine, it feels very invigorating. I like licorice, and no sweetener needed, bonus round!

FINALLY! A tasty flowering tea! I have tried maybe 5 and they are all horrible. This one is delicate and light and jsmine flavor but not bitter. The arch that forms when it flowers is delicate and very pretty to boot! First really pretty bloom ever with a worthwhile flavor!

My mother had different teas around as a nutritionist, the worst I ever tried was chapparel- (sp?) it tasted like plastic. My friend Ellyn has now reinfected me with a loose tea passion! I must give snaps to my son Robby, who sent me the most gorgeous present from Argo teas and they sat in my cupboard for a year unopened! FOR SHAME MAMA!
