From Stash Tea

Stash Peppermint is produced exclusively from top quality Oregon grown peppermint, which is considered the world’s finest. Oregon’s deep rich soil, moist cool winters and long dry sunny summers provide mint growers with the natural tools to produce peppermint. The mint is harvested in July and August and when properly cured (or dried) it is sold as leaf or to produce peppermint oil. Stash Tea purchases its mint leaf directly from Oregon farmers. It is sent from Oregon fields to the Stash Tea plant where it is packaged to protect the freshness and menthol content. Nothing else is ever added to our Peppermint tea. The result is a soothing, refreshing, aromatic drink that is superb hot or iced, any time of day.

It’s pretty good, but I prefer Celestial Seasonings’ peppermint.

This is good but without licorice root, I wouldn’t drink this nearly as much as I do.

Cut the bag open to let it steep free in the water. I don’t mind swallowing peppermint dust.

Some background – I got turned onto Stash by the person I consider to be my true grandmother. I have to say, when I realize more and more that this brand is really no better than Kroger Private Selection, with the added insult of smaller tea bags, I start to feel sorry for my deceased gramma, and wish she had been able to save money on Kroger’s store brand tea, or at least on Celestial Seasoning’s own spin on this tea.

Disappointed, because of its lack of strength. Am drinking it cold, and frankly, it tastes a bit like toothpaste. I mean, it is really cooling, but it is lacking severely in any real flavor.

I got a bunch of dust sitting on the bottom of my cup like so much sludge, and no real flavor to show for it, after I paid a bit more for less tea from a brand I was taught to trust.

Recovering (hopefully) from a stomach bug or some kind of food poisoning, so I thought a nice peppermint tea would be my best option today. The crackers and rice diet is not fun, and even the rice made me sick. So here’s hoping the peppermint tea helps (or at the very least, doesn’t make it worse).

I like Stash’s peppermint tea, but it’s not as reliable as I had hoped. I made this cup the same way I did last time and this time it’s slightly bitter. I could try again and decrease the temperature, but since this is my last bag I think I’ll skip another purchase and look for something else. In fact, I just remembered I already have a solid mint tea that I love – https://steepster.com/teas/qntm-leaf-tea/92845-mindful-mint. No need to find another.

Mint tea is one of my go-tos when my stomach is being shitty, too. (The other is ginger tea, and I often add a little powdered ginger to rice water at those times, too).

Get well soon!

Michelle

Mindful mint is quite good, I did enjoy the sample you sent me. Add a teaspoon of any shou puerh to aid in stomach calming!

Shae

Mastress Alita – I’m having some ginger tea now because of your recommendation – thank you!
gmathis – Thank you -I sure do hope it’s soon!
Michelle – Oh yes, I love it. I will try the shou puerh tip, thank you! I completely forgot about your Tummy Tamer blend too. That’ll be my next cup, I think. I can drink it as part of Mastress Alita’s November sipdown challenge. :D

I am on the quest to try ALL the peppermint teas in the world! Or at least try as many as I can get my hands on! It is my FAV tea EVER! This one makes it in the top 3 peppermint teas so far. Another freebie tea with my PC Optimum points!

So I bought a box of this about a week and a half ago, so I had an herbal blend on hand. I like having some herbal teabags at work, to sip without getting too much caffine, and also to have at home, which I am working on my writing project in the evening.
I did not expect this to get sipped down so freaking fast! I am not to be underestimated, apparently.
Its a mint tea! It does what it says on the box! And as I have a fondness for basic peppermint blends, I’d have to say I generally enjoyed it.

This tea has a nice peppermint flavour. Not too mild and not too strong. After all the sugar I consumed over the holidays, my tummy needs a little TLC so this tea offers some welcome relief.
