This tea feels like being wrapped in your favourite snuggly jumper by a fire. It wraps you up and tucks you into the corner of the sofa and kisses the top of your head. It’s so incredibly smooth despite the cinnamon flavouring and nothing beats it in the early hours of the morning or just before bed. Though I normally take any Earl Grey with a slice of lemon, the Irish Breakfast balances it out enough that it’s absolutely lovely with a splash of milk. When brewing the smell of cinnamon is strong, but not over powering. The Earl Grey green is really what blends these flavours together and makes for the perfect cup of tea that can appeal to anyone who enjoys a lovely cup of tea.

Spicy and jammy is the best description of this tea. When you open up the bag it smells immediately like berries with a bit of a sharp edge. Once brewed, it’s amazing. It smells warm and sweet and doesn’t lose the sharp spicy bite. Adding in a spoonful of honey sweetens it up just enough to make it into a dessert tea. However if you pass on the honey, the chai spices blend with the berries beautifully and create a flavour that works for early morning with a blueberry muffin.

The moment you tear the top off the bag and open it up you know this tea is going to be a lovely, decadent treat. The spice of the vanilla chai and the chocolate mix fantastically to create a warm blanketing scent. Unsurprisingly when it’s brewed it smells even lovelier. While this tea is wonderful plain without anything added, I do take my chai with a bit of milk. I find this makes the taste a bit smoother and really gives it that chocolate-y dessert feeling. This tea really does embody everything I adore about Mycroft as a character. Sweet like the treats he loves so much, like the soft inside he clearly has when dealing with family. Yet, spicy like his snarky comments and demeanour.

When you open the bag the scent of bananas instantly wafts up and smells absolutely lovely. Being that it’s an Oolong tea it brews nice and light. The banana adds just enough sweetness to cancel out any need for honey or sugar and isn’t at all overpowering. This tea is perfect for after a meal or to accompany a light afternoon snack.

This tea is the very essence of everything stereotypical about Canada…. in the best ways. This smells and tastes like the liquid form of pancake breakfasts in Calgary during the Stampede. It’s thick without being heavy and lovely right after waking up in the morning. The after taste is distinctly of maple syrup. The best part about this tea is that while it sounds like it would be overwhelming sweet, it’s not at all. It’s just the right side of warm and sugary. The perfect tea to send out into the world to represent the loveliness of Canada.

This tea tastes like the feeling of sitting in a quiet corner of the library with an old copy of a C.S. Lewis novel. It’s bold and full bodied like the scent of the pages of an old book. The blend of green and black tea is the perfect mixture. The green tea just barely overpowers the black and in turn balances out the bitterness. While you can add a sweetener to this if you’re not fond of the way black tea tastes, I find it’s much better without and allows the flavours to mesh much better.

This is absolutely my favourite Earl Grey. I only drink this tea with a slice of lemon, so the slight citrus taste in this doesn’t bother me at all. I find the Twinnings has done the absolute best job at blending all the flavours of Earl Grey into the smoothest, loveliest tea that you can enjoy at pretty much any time of day. I especially love this tea at night just before bed while wrapped up in the blankets. There’s a reason this tea is a classic.

They aren’t kidding when they say this is a spicy tea! When I purchased it the girl told me that it was a both a spicy and sweet tea, if you steeped it long enough. So I brought it home and after making a cup I can tell you she was definitely right. This tea is basically the beverage equivalent of throwing more than a few cinnamon hearts into your mouth. That’s honestly the best way to describe the taste and sensation of drinking the tea. That being said, if you like spicy teas, you will LOVE this. I’m a big fan and I’m just polishing off the first cup.
