Want to stay ahead of the curve? Take it from us. Passion fruit is the next big thing. It’s popping up on fancy menus all over the world. Can’t say we’re surprised – its sharp, tangy taste is unique, addictive and totally out of this world. And this all-natural green tea blend is a great way to get a taste. I enjoyed this one. It was definitely tropically fruity, but the green tea in it saved it from overkill. It was both tart and sweet, but not actually sour. My kids liked it, too, including the one who doesn’t usually like anything with actual tea in it. I had it hot, but I think it would make a good iced tea as well. I’ll likely order some of this next go round.

DAVID’s Tea Advent Calendar Day 10.

I’d just had a cup of black passionfruit tea (the Hawaiian Tea Company, sent to me by a friend who lives in Honolulu) and I quite liked that one. When today’s tea was a GREEN passionfruit, I balked. I do not like green tea generally. But I am determined to try at least one cup of every tea in the calendar. You never know. Something that you would never in a million years want to try could turn out to be your new favorite. This one, sadly, was not nearly as good as the black tea I had earlier. It tasted very grassy to me, which is the thing I particularly don’t like about green tea. There was a nice little fruity zing that saved it from being poured down the drain. But I don’t believe I will finish the little canister. I foresee lots of donations to the church’s tea chest coming up in January. :)

Advent calendar day 10/24

I was kind of surprised to find that I hadn’t had this one before as I remember when it came out and I was on an iced tea kick at the time so I definitely was interested in trying it. Not that it’s a big deal.

So I brewed up a pitcher of this. I never (very rarely) have ice in the house so I usually just brew the tea up hot, let in cool at room temperature, and then pop it in the fridge (or do a cold brew, but I didn’t want to go that route with this one). As a result, it takes a while to actually be “iced” so I just went to bed and decided to have it this morning.

Then I woke up to find 7/8 of it had been drunk by my boyfriend…

In fairness, he didn’t know I hadn’t had this tea before and that I had used up all that I had. Iced tea in the fridge is usually fair game. Fortunately, what I had was just “okay” in my opinion so I’m glad he enjoyed it. The green base is prominent, but I don’t find it particularly stellar. My experience with passionfruit is limited to a gelato I had when I was a kid, but the flavour here seems to match that pretty well, with some pineapple and other fruit notes thrown in.

Again, it’s hard to judge based off the small glass I had.

Advent calendar day 10. I’ve had this tea iced in the past and had it hot for the first time today. It smells very fruity and tastes similar to the way it smells. I’d definitely consider purchasing more of this tea as it is super refreshing iced and just as good hot.

Day 10 of the 2016 advent calendar, and one of my favourite teas! The smell of this tea is beautiful, its a lovely balance between fruity and fragrant. It’s also a visually appealing tea too, lots of different shapes and colors going on.

Steeped, this tea actually tastes stronger on the green tea base which is something I prefer in fruity greens. As long as the green tea base tastes good, that is. But this tea’s base is excellent it has just the right amount of body to work well with the fruity notes.

Overall, this might be one of my top 5 iced teas period. Seriously, if you haven’t tried this over ice I would definitely make it a priority if you love fruity iced teas.

#adventageddon Day Eighteen – 4/6

I do not like this tea so I steeped the lightest and weakest cup of it possible today. So light it was kind of just hot water!? But vaguely fruity hot water, which… sounds a bit like I’m describing tea!? And I suppose that I technically am!? But also, no.

Anyway you hopefully get the point.

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts and feelings regarding the teas, and not the company’s.

LOL. This made me laugh. “Vaguely fruity hot water”… Funny stuff.

This tea has absolutely become a staple for my tea shelf. It’s what I go for when I’m in the mood for any type of fruity green. It has such a lovely aroma, like almost all of David’s Teas do.

Grabbed from the local DT as the tea of the day in my iced tea mug ($1 tea? hell yea) with agave. Sooooo tasty. I always forget I like this one. Light and refreshing.

I really adore this tea iced. Very refreshing. I only brewed it for 30 seconds-I find longer than that and it tastes bitter to me.
