This came as one of my samples from my most recent Davids Tea order. I mostly just get a nutty toasted almond flavour from this tea with some hint of cocoa. It might just be because it’s a small sample but I can’t really taste goji berries or anything that really reminds me of fruit at all. It’s not bad, I guess, but I think it needs a more robust base than this white tea.

I was bragging to my mom on the weekend that the I, the usually constantly-sick, didn’t get a single cold this winter. Of course last night I started feeling a bit sniffly. Today I am feeling run-down and a little congested. I have turned around several almost-colds this winter, so I hope I can do the same with this. I will be consuming a whole lot of tea today in the process, starting with this.

I think this tea would be more aptly named Forever Nuts than the one that is. So nutty! So nutty that I don’t often feel like drinking this, but when I do I love it. It’s a really pleasant, easy-going tea with a nice layering of flavours.

I used to love Secret Weapon so much! But today, we are NOT getting along. It doesn’t taste as toasty as it should, the flavour is not as full bodied as I remember, it’s giving me a headache AND its triggered my acid reflux. I thought we were best friends :’-(

My work reward tea, Check Mate, triggered my acid reflux today. Very saddening, as it was a tasty cup :(

It is one of my first white tea. A friend came back from the shop et gave me 15g of this tea. (I’m always happy to try new teas!)
The dry leaves smells very nutty, almost exactly like peanut butter.
Once steeped, the smell of the cocoa nib become more proeminant and the tea smells wierdly like freshly baked chocolate cake. It’s mild and sweet. Taste like almond with some fruits in the aftertaste. I can’t find any licorice in the smell nor the taste.
It’s a nice tea for the morning when I need something milder than my usual black tea (and it make me want to eat some peanut butter toast with it !)

Not my favorite but I don’t hate it either.

I’m really sad because I wanted to like this tea..
But today was my third time drinking this tea and probably the last. I wasn’t able to finish it… All the flavors taste really odd to me and I can’t stand the smell either… I don’t know I think it smell like something ..Moldy…:S. And strangely it’s giving me a headache.

Before trying the sample I got with an order from DT I was thinking about buying this tea.. I’m really happy to had try it first because now I know I will not buy it.

This tea didn’t wow me either. For me there wasn’t enough flavor… sigh

P.S. Your English is lovely my dear! I never would have known that it wasn’t your first language :)

There is not anything I dislike about this tea. When I received it in a sample box, I instantly went sniffing through all the leaves — this one was the most memorable. The tea itself is a peculiar combination of flowers, fruits, and nuts, I am surprised by the result. Granted, this is a white tea, so the taste is quite mild, it’s so creamy, smooth, and has a really unique nutty, toasty flavor to it. On the first sip, the first image brought to my mind was a toasted marshmallow (but not quite as sweet), but even then I wouldn’t say that flavor is accurate.
This might possibly be my new favorite comfort tea.

Don’t you just hate it when you feel like you’re coming down with something, but you’re not fully sure until the next day? I discovered the benefit of eating raw garlic during my last cold, as it dramatically decreased it’s severity. I decided to begin last night before bed, just in case I was right. Unfortunately I was and I awoke with a fun sore throat. Yay! Luckily it has not gotten worse, but I am still loading up on water, bone broth, garlic, and tea. I received the cold survival kit the last time I was sick, but never opened it until now.

The dry smell of this tea is delicious! It mainly smells of almond. Then again, tree nuts are a staple in my diet, so this tea is up my alley. Brewed, it is a very mellow tea that is lightly sweet and well rounded. Nothing that is strong in flavor, which is perfect at the moment. I taste a bit of licorice, though I am not sure if I taste much of the goji berries. Even so, this is definitely making me happy at the moment and I will enjoy this tea until it’s out.

I don’t know what it is with this tea. I don’t dislike it, but I am just not crazy about it. I think there is way too much going on for me. Between the nuts, the berries, and the cocoa I am left unimpressed. I also find the almonds make the tea a little too dry and bitter for me. I don’t thin it is a bad tea, per se, but it is really, really not my thing. I think my tin may need to find a new home…

Got this as a sample in my last order from David’s. I have always wanted to try this one and tonight seemed the best night to do it. Stupid furnace isn’t working. Not sure what the issue is but the house is holding at 60 to 62F and it is supposed to warm up over the weekend and next week so we can wait a bit to get it looked at (like until hubby gets paid next week) And to top it off I am having a case of the sniffles. So hopefully this will warm me up and help me hold of this cold that is coming.

Taste is very nice. Kind of overwhelming with the almonds but I like them so that is ok. I was worried about the licorice because the only licorice tasting thing I like is Sambuca shots but you can’t taste the licorice at all in this. I think this is one I will get a small amount of so that I can have it when in the mood for it as I don’t think this is an every day tea.

Ah, how tea tastes change. Last winter, I adored this tea. Last night, I didn’t even finish my cup. The almond was far too overpowering and left a weird taste in my mouth. I want to like it, but found myself wishing it was White Tiger instead…mmmm, White Tiger…..

This isn’t one I’d reach for again, I think.
