From Celestial Seasonings

Our chamomile tea features the delicate sweet apple notes found only in the world’s best chamomile.

“The soothing sweet apple notes in this beloved tea are achieved by blending elegant chamomile flowers from around the world. Our golden Egyptian chamomile has a delicate floral quality, while chamomile from Mexico contributes a sweet, earthy flavor. You’ll take comfort in a cup of this perfectly blended chamomile tea any time of day.”
— Charlie Baden, Celestial Seasonings Blendmaster

Hot Tea by the Cup

Pour freshly boiled water over one tea bag. Steep 4 to 6 minutes and remove tea bag. Sweeten if desired.

It tastes just like chamomile. I like more flavors blended in my tea. Fine to drink if free but will not buy it again.

I miss when these boxes came with tea flavored chapsticks. They were so great. This tea is always a reliable choice. The chamomile flavor is so tasty without any detracting qualities. Really I enjoy this chamomile more than some loose leaf ones I’ve had.

CS had tea flavored chapsticks in the box? Whoa, when was that?

AJRimmer

It was about three years ago. I remember having chamomile, country peach passion, and peppermint scents. And the boxes still cost the same price, like $2.20. And the chapsticks were high quality – I always check the tea aisle at Walmart just in case they’ve brought them back!

oh man, sounds fun. I guess I wasn’t buying CS teas three years ago? Or maybe they just weren’t supplying those special boxes everywhere.

Personally this tea is my favorite. I enjoy the flavor it has because it taste sweet, but then again since I was a kid I had always mixed in honey or sugar (and a lot of it). I would always have it when I was sick or just to warm up during the winter. I don’t have any complaints.

A nice warm cup on a rainy day. Nothing in the flavour profile other than an average chamomile. Typical hay, lemony/citrus notes, and a slightly vegetal dried flower taste.

Celestial Seasonings rarely impresses me with one of their offerings. This, unfortunately, is not one of those times.

I caught the slight aroma of chamomile but it didn’t translate through to the flavor of the tea. While I wasn’t expecting anything strong in flavor, this is so bland it’s like drinking warmed water.

Thankfully this is the only bag I have of it.

This straight-up chamomile tastes good, but I have to be in the mood for its weediness.

Yep this is chamomile. Brews up strongly too. Nice before bed.

Still prefer loose leaf cause it has more depth of flavor though.

Yup. Tastes like chamomile. I’m not really sure what people are complaining about. Don’t drink it if you don’t like chamomile, I guess. And don’t hate it for not being more complex…it’s pretty much just marketed as “chamomile” which is really all one wants sometimes if you like straight chamomile.

This seems lighter than yesterday’s Tadin chamomile, not as concentrated and more refreshing. It’s not at all watered down though. Between the two, I much prefer the Celestial Seasonings.
