Yeah, I had her put some aside for me after I had my first cup. 1oz definitely not gonna cut it! I went huge and got 4oz. That way I won’t feel like I have to save it for special occasions. I don’t have that kind of will power.

oh thank god. it’s this one. I wasn’t sure that it was this one when you mentioned it earlier. Pretty sure i get 1.5oz of the 2 we jointly ordered

I have those mornings every once in a while. When I do, I drink coffee. I rarely drink it anymore but I still like it. The easy thing about it is – I only have one delicious kind.

That makes sense. I’m not a coffee drinker though, but I figure that not having anything at all would work too haha.

Boo. Hope you snap out of it with the tea thing. I hate it when you stand ther ewith so much tea and nothing sounds appealing… :|

Maybe take a break like MzPriss suggested, or pick a tea that is really different from what you usually drink? I hope you snap outta the funk and the rest of you day is spectacular. May the day pass quickly and easily, and the weekend be wonderful!!!

I had a couple of days a while back where every tea I tasted tasted BAD. And these are teas I love from the same bag I had been drinking from. I just didn’t have any for a coupl of days and it got better. I thought it was odd though

One of the antibiotics I was on last month did that to me. There were just some flavors that were completely gone for a little while, and things just tastes awful.

When that happens, I like to restrict myself from having my favorite teas for a week, until I crave them. I usually don’t last a week.

That sort of thing happens to me as well from time to time. I normally drink black tea in the morning, but occasionally I feel kind of jaded, like, “I’ve already drank everything I have…sigh…there is nothing new under the sun…sigh…”. The first thing I usually do it drink a big glass of water. Then I’ll switch it up…drink something I normally wouldn’t drink in the morning, like an herbal tea, or white tea. Or ice tea.

Re what MzPriss said, I also occasionally have days where every tea tastes bitter, & my allergies sometimes mute my tastebuds, which is irritating because that special tea that is so nuanced just becomes a plain old cup of tea (& I start wondering if maybe I imagined all those amazing things I wrote, LOL).

Yes yes yes!! as if my previous recollections were wrong, or like my hobby—my escape from the world—is somehow broken and I can’t enjoy it anymore. And then you panic and think you’ll never want tea again.

Ack!! Exactly. What if you are all of a sudden OFF tea, forever?? As if that would ever happen, but then… what if it did?!
I found this started with me after I began my tea sommelier certification. Almost like knowing so much about it, tea lost some of its magic. But then it came back, just not to the same level of crazy for me.

Except Sil has tried teas that haven’t even been made :)

I love this one. I wish there was also a notes section so I could look up who sent me the teas, and any alternate or supplemental steeping notes.

It’s hard to decide what to order from Butiki, isn’t it?
I got this one in my new order. I’m not a fan of blacks, but this gets such good reviews I decided to try it. Maybe I’ll take the plunge this morning.

Infused – some of Stacy’s black teas are amazing even for my friends who don’t like black teas.

I love this one. Undecided if I like it more than the regular Taiwanese Assam or not so I keep ordering both. :P

I actually like the straight black better but since every day I bring a straight tea and a flavoured to work in my travel mugs, this works well having it around haha

I tried it an hour ago, and am afraid I’m not a fan. Maybe I need to sweeten it? I’ll try again, but I think it’s going to be a case of “It’s not you, it’s me…”

Not every tea is a win for everyone haha which is a good thing :)

infused, if you tend to sweeten, I would because that will really bring out the caramel & vanilla. I like this straight, but I also like it sweet. Just saying :)

I’m so glad you are enjoying it! I wasn’t sure how this would be received. I recommend trying it with just a tiny bit of sugar. Its really decadent that way.

I thought about adding some sugar, but just loved it as is. I’ll throw a few rocks in there tomorrow. Because I will be having this again tomorrow :-)

Tealizzy-The tea itself is completely done. It should be up on our website next week if I can get some time in to do a photo shoot, otherwise everything else is ready. It’s order-able now for anyone who doesn’t want to wait.

Oh my gooooodnessssss, I HAVE to have this! I have to have it! Premium Taiwanese Assam is my favorite tea, and you’ve made me so excited to try this flavored one out! :D

I want to at least wait for my upcoming Butiki order to arrive though first. I ordered a couple teas I haven’t tried, and it’s entirely possible I’ll want more, so I’ll have to hold off.

Is this tea a limited time thing, or is it something that’ll stick around? Not sure if I need to panic order this, or if I have time to wait for my current order to arrive. xD

Chizakura-This is something that is sticking around. We may be out of it for a week or two but after that it should be available in full stock. I’m really low on one ingredient that makes up this tea and its not expected arrive for 2-3 weeks. We ran through the first batch before it hit the website and I’m already half way through this batch. I might borrow some of the ingredient that was reserved for a custom blend to make a third batch but I’m not sure yet. You definitely don’t need to panic order this since it will be in full stock within a month.

This is such a great tea. I crave it all the time. Reminds me of drinking tea with my Dad when I was a little girl.
I am also re teaching myself to knit – so relaxing! Project #1 is also basic scarf – just knit & purl! So far, so good.

What are you listening to? It sounds like a wonderfully soothing combo! I can’t knit but I (think I could still) crochet if I thought my yarn would be safe from curious cat paws.

My friend is “showing” me the Dresden Files, which are so far a very funny treat. She’s a good egg, sharing books and tarn and time. She has to hide her yarn from her cat!

i was going to say i want new teas..but i don’t. i want the retail therapy of buying new teas…. life is all upside down right now. I’m being pulled in to re-org conversations for our larger team…ie i’m on one team that reports in to a guy who oversees 5 teams…i’m looking at how the 5 teams are going to be restructured….. and working on 2 projects that need to be delivered in 3 weeks.

JustJames, yes, this tea was very effective for that until I saw the spun sugar image link in your note. Then I wanted both the tea AND the dessert. :P

This is no substitute for a real Caramilk bar but it does remind me of why I love them, and why I’m going to buy a big bag full of them in October or November.

I really like this one, but I know what you mean. You can’t underleaf it or it doesn’t taste right.

I can’t wait either. I don’t think I got any of this in the order though, but perhaps I should have.
