I think my craving for macaroons has been assuaged! Thanks, Short Sorceress, for the opportunity to try this one! Both dry and steeped there’s no missing the coconut – which is awesome, because I love it! While I can pick up a little bit of a cakey flavor, I don’t really get cheesecake from it. No worries! It’s creamy and sweet and a wonderful way to cap off the evening.

I got this from iHeartTeas during her tea sell off. I’ve been curious to try something from 52teas so when I saw she had a bunch of samples I jumped all over it. So much for not buying anymore tea this month.

Just opening the package hits you with the strong scent of coconut and there are coconut flakes mixed in with the honeybush. Before steeping I was curious how the cake was going to figure in to this blend and with the first steep I didn’t quite get it. Actually, I almost burned my mouth off because I was being impatient, so really was the whole issue this time. Once the tea cooled off to a drinkable temperature I totally got hints of the cake, it was a nice creamy feel with each sip. I do with I could taste a little more of the cake aspect, but otherwise I think this is delicious.

I wish I had a little coconut milk to add to this, I think it would be delicious, but I cleaned out the fridge this morning and dumped it. I’m leaving for a two week trip to rural Kansas and Oklahoma Friday morning and I’m really sad that I’ll have to leave my new tea samples at home. Well water and tea just don’t work well together.

Thank you so much to Dexter3657 for this YUMMY tea!

I love coconut, cheesecake and honeybush! This is really creamy and very tasty! I love that bit of tang that cheesecake offers, and is also found in this tea. This is very easy, smooth slurping. YUM!

I’ve been swapping a lot so I don’t remember who sent me this magnificent tea but THANK YOU, whoever you are!

Coconut? Love it!
Cheesecake? Yup, huge fan here!
Tea? Duh….

All together? Sheer perfection in a cup.

I never really understood when people talked about the mouth feel of a tea. I mean, let’s face it, it’s leaves soaked in water, what exactly are you expecting? But this? Creamy, decadent, rich? I don’t know how it does it, but I really don’t care.

Love it!

Another wonderful day in terms of Doggies getting along! Yay! In terms of work, on the other hand, it has been long and intense. Thankfully it is now over and I am free to enjoy my tea and my dogs!

I settled down with a cup of this, the 7th tea of the 12 days of Christmas from 52teas!

I was happy to try this blend. The other cheesecake tea from 52teas that I have tried (pumpkin cheesecake) I loved, so this was exciting to say the least. The smell of the leaves was oddly fruity with a coconutty aroma hanging out in your nostrils. The shredded coconut looked tasty and beautiful in the honeybush.

I steeped it the smell was all coconut. It reminded me slightly of sunblock, which is supposed to smell like coconut, so I guess this is a good thing. First sip unsweetened was smooth and creamy, sweetened the creaminess was even more notorious and the coconut shown through even stronger than before. The coconut in this blend doesn’t taste artificial, in fact, it is the the most realistic coconut flavor I have ever tasted in a tea!

My only issue with this tea is that I got 0 cheesecake flavor… Oh well… Still really enjoyable though!

I really enjoyed this cup of tea, but personally, I feel that the wonderful flavors may stand out more with a black tea base! : )

I just got my tea order from 52teas/mysweethoneybush today (Only a few days after placing! Awesome!). I opted to give this one a try first. The dry leaves had a coconut odor, that was pleasant and not to overpowering. I put a tablespoon into a tea bag and covered it with boiling water. The smell as it was brewing was pretty tasty. I think I could get a hint of the cheesecake in the brew. I left the room it was brewing in to go find the travel lid to my cup. When I returned, WOW, could I smell the coconut. I’m not a huge fan of coconut by itself, but I love it in other things.
I took my first sip without any additions. The tea had a pleasant taste with a coconut-y aftertaste. I like my tea sweet so I added some honey….to much honey. I had to add more boiling water and steep the tea a little longer.
Once that was done, it was a pretty tasty cup.
I think I am just all tea-ed out today, because I am on my 5th cup…..for that reason I am going to with-hold judgement until my next cup.

I recieved my first ever order from 52teas this week. I don’t really think this smells like coconut cheesecake dry, but it smells good and there is a ton of coconut in it! Drinking it now, I think it is getting better as it cools – I think it will make a great iced tea! I still don’t think I’ve found my perfect coconut tea, but I can definitely see me buying more of this! The last time I bought a tea that was supposed to be coconutty, it tasted like maple syrup….blech! (Not that I don’t like maple syrup….but when you expect tropical deliciousness and get breakfast instead, it is disappointing!).

So far, probably the best coconut tea I’ve tried :)

wow oh wow! This tea is a tea I could see buying a pound of… it is that good. When you first open the bag all you smell is the fresh coconut. Delish! I steeped it for about 6 minutes, I think I may steep a bit longer next time, and after steeping you can smell the honeybush and coconut. When I pour it into a cup it smells just like tanning lotion :) I love that smell! At first sip I don’t get alot of flavor… but I sip again and I taste coconut..it is very smooth. I add a bit of sugar and it brings out the flavors, yummy. I let it cool a bit and I definitely get the tanginess of cheesecake as well as the buttery graham cracker crust. It is soooo good! Thank you so much for making this part of the permanent collection.
