1024 Tasting Notes
Another sample from TassieTeaGirl; I am smashing through these. It’s like Christmas!
This earl grey is beautifully sweet. I oversteeped a little so it was a touch bitter, but that’s just because I have the unfortunate habit of walking away from a steeping tea and forgetting about it (and I don’t yet have the machine that goes PING when steep time is up, but it sounds like a solid investment for me).
ANYWAY. Delicious and sweet tea. I added a bit of sugar to correct the bitterness and it worked a treat. Milk isn’t necessary, but also doesn’t take away from the deliciousness.
Preparation
“For almond lovers”? Pfft. This tea tastes like apple crumble or a delicious wholesome cookie, and for that reason I am INTO IT. What an awesome dessert tea! Needs nothing else added (in fact, adding kind of ruins it – I tried with some honey). I think my sample missed out on any decent-sized beetroot flakes, because I didn’t get the crazy pink cup that everyone remarks on! Mine was instead a lovely apricot shade.
(Yet another TassieTeaGirl sample.)
Preparation
My favourite bedtime tea, which is funny because T2 specifically tried not to give this relaxing herbal blend led by chamomile and lavender a “sleepy” name. But it’s hard to resist letting this lull you off to sleep! I love love love the spearmint notes in this. It’s just a lovely soothing tea. Two people who’ve tried it at my place in the last couple of months have gone out and bought it for themselves.
Preparation
Another sample from TassieTeaGirl. Best without anything added — with even a bit of sugar added, the sweetness became quite chemical, but without sugar it was just enough to scrape through as a dessert tea. The maple leaves are an adorable touch.
Preparation
My current favourite from T2. Amazing berry smell that translates to the cup in a deliciously light and fruity way. I can’t get enough of this tea. I really want to try it iced but I haven’t had the patience yet, I keep gobbling it up!
Preparation
First to log of the haul I got from TassieTeaGirl at our tea tasting yesterday! I poured my sample of this into my favourite Kinto unitea pot and took it upstairs to bed. Ooh la la. It’s got a sweet peachy colour to it (I believe this is the hibiscus’ fault), just enough sweetness to enjoy without anything added, and mostly chamomile and citrus lingering.
You’re powering through those samples! Glad you’re enjoying them!
I can’t help it, I have no restraint!
It is hard to with tea. Clearly I don’t either, saw my collection!
