892 Tasting Notes
The smell of this tea reminds me of those chocolate orange sticks that come around during Christmas time! The flavor of this tea is kind of weak but you can still taste the chocolate with a hint of citrus(but it’s still very light..). This tea is a solid ok. Not the worst I’ve had and not the best either.
Preparation
This tea smells delicious! It has a caramel taste that comes off a bit bitter and the aftertaste is where you can find the pear and a hint of chocolate. It is a very nice blend of flavors. A delicious treat if you’re looking for a dessert tea!
Preparation
This is one of my favorite pu-erhs. It has a wonderful earthy flavor followed by a sweet/slightly tart fruit flavor. Honestly it’s a weird taste but it blends very well together! It’s really, really good iced, too!
I got about 3 steeps out of this tea with just a tad of flavor lost on the third.
Preparation
This is the first matcha I have ever tried. My boyfriend got me a clear matcha bowl and a whisk set for my birthday. I was so excited.
First few attempts were a fail because I didn’t make it correctly.. But now.. Woah! I love the frothy light green. I love the taste of this green tea. Very vegetal and a bit of sweetness. It has a very creamy finish. I always feel so special when I drink this. I found that this pairs very well with a relaxed morning and some Ingrid Michaelson!
Preparation
This tea reminds me of a chocolate strawberry. Fruity and chocolatea (aaahh see what I did there ;D). Can’t really find the red pepper in this tea. It reminds me of something Teavana has. Not really liking the aftertaste. I might have to save this tea for when I’m craving something chocolate covered. Sorry :/ Not really a whole lot to say about this one..
Preparation
When I opened this sample, I thought “Woah! This looks weird.” Then I smelled it.. and I was in heaven. I LOVED this tea. It has a strong cinnamon taste with nice notes of cardamom and clove. You can barely taste any chocolate. It is the last flavor you get a hint of. The only thing I would change about this tea is to add just a tad more chocolate. But it still was an awesome one!
Preparation
The first sip of this tea was very citrusy. But not too IN YOUR FACE citrusy. Very light, very refreshing. I imagine it would make a marvelous iced tea!
For some reason all of Teavana’s teas leave a weird aftertaste in my mouth..
Other then the aftertaste I really did like this tea. :]
Preparation
One of the first Earl Grey teas I’ve really tried. But all I can say is I loved it! Has a nice balance of cream flavor and bergamot. It had a very creamy finish. That’s all I really have to say about this tea :] Very simple yet delicious!
Preparation
Like all of Teavana’s teas, this one took a few sips to decide if I liked it or not. Well I forgot I was cooling the water in my kettle before pouring it over the tea.. so this tea was brewed at a cooler temperature then I wanted to brew it at. It turned out ok still. The liquor is a very pretty pink color. The aroma is floral and fruity. I think I liked the aroma better then the actual tea. The fruit flavor is light. Hints of berries and peach. I couldn’t really taste any jasmine or floral notes (But then again I only brewed this at 165 ish.. next time we will try it a little bit warmer.) Slight tart aftertaste.. didn’t really like that.. But I liked this tea. Not my favorite but I think I would order it again.
Preparation
I have wanted to buy the truffle set by Mighty Leaf for some time now. Finally I had to just give in! Anyways, on to the tea! The aroma of this tea is absolutely WONDERFUL! Warm and chocolaty. :] What more could a girl ask for?
The taste is very mellow. A slight chocolate taste. A slight pu-erh taste. For some reason I feel like I taste a hint of mint, but from what I’ve read there is no mint.. There is a slight citrus end note.
