I am right now brewing about 8 ounces with 6 spoonfuls of the tea and I’ll revise this review if I can discern any taste aside from a sort of sugar water from this. I know it’s possible to get an excellent chocolate taste from a decaf tea. So far, this hasn’t done it for me.

Cofftea

Strawberry and apple seem weird ingredients for this… otherwise I’d be sold!

Cofftea

It may be possible to get good chocolate flavor from a decaf tea, but this is not a decaf tea, it’s an herbal tisane… maybe that’s part of the reason you aren’t happy w/ it.

This tea reminds me of a chocolate strawberry. Fruity and chocolatea (aaahh see what I did there ;D). Can’t really find the red pepper in this tea. It reminds me of something Teavana has. Not really liking the aftertaste. I might have to save this tea for when I’m craving something chocolate covered. Sorry :/ Not really a whole lot to say about this one..

I just found this bag in my tea cabinet, and made a small pot last week. It’s been a while since I’ve had a pot of tea, I’ve been having an afternoon coffee almost exclusively for the past couple of years. I had forgotten how wonderful this tea is with some raw sugar and a bit of cream or 1/2&1/2. I went to the Mighty Leaf website to order more, and was sad to find it’s no longer available. I’m on the hunt for a replacement chocolate tea.

Appearance: large chunks of dried fruit and chocolate pieces. Liquor: orange hues with considerable sedimentation. I don’t like how the chocolate pieces melt, because it makes the texture of the liquor thicker than it should be. Smell: fruity and chocolate-y. Taste: More fruit than anything, with nice spice notes. The chocolate comes through. Not my standard tea, but in the right mood, this is an okay way to mix it up. 5/10.

Drank this yesterday, and I felt that it tasted mostly of fruit. No chocolate and certainly no chili, but a tart strawberry finish. I admit, I was not too impressed, and though I will probably drink the rest of what I have in the house, I won’t be buying more.
