141 Tasting Notes
Very smooth, yet powerful tea. Stewed figs, with a little fresh peeled bark taste to the mouth. Medium thickness to the tongue and lots of flavor towards the front of the mouth. Definitely hydrating. Calming and strong energy to the arms.
Flavors: Bark, Dried Fruit, Fig, Goji, Smooth
Preparation
Very easily one of my favorite everyday drinker, type of black tea. This tea has tons of sweet honey and simmered yams likeness – both to the dry leaves and the brewed liquid. It does a good job warming the chest and arms, after a couple cups. After the 3rd steeping, you should expect a slightly aged sheng puerh – just enough edge, mixed with returning sweetness and producing salivation. Very good tea, even better than price reflects.

This autumn version is an entirely different experience than it’s spring counter-part (as advertised). It has the taste profile of a sheng that is transitioning into a more mature, aged tea. It has seemed to have lost its greener, more smoky with floral sweetness, as other teas I’ve tried in this area. It is definitely more wild and robust, with hints of dried mushrooms and seasoned pine kindling, freshly lit. There seems to be a prevalent tobacco-likeness, midway through the sip, which transitions into a mouth drying astringency.
I’m pretty certain this is a good one for someone that likes good shou puerh and has been discouraged by typical young sheng teas and their characteristics, as this is closer to aged puerh than a sheng that is normally reflected at this age. Overall, not bad at all.
Flavors: Astringent, Campfire, Drying, Mushrooms, Pine, Tobacco

You can definitely taste a slightly more wetter storage to this tea, however it is good. Brews a golden liquor and has no strong amount astringency or bitterness. Overall, a nice cup to grab during the colder months, as it does help warm the body.
Flavors: Wet wood
Preparation
No earthiness here, just sweetness and shows great maturity for this sheng. Raisins and brown sugar are the dominate notes. Very lovely tea.

Tealizzy, I got a sample of this from http://www.jas-etea.com/ I’m not sure if they still have it available on their website, however you might contact them and double check to see if they are willing to release some personal stash? I do recommend this tea. Very, very nice. I’m gonna be looking out for a cake of it, for myself:)
Really nice sheng. It has some good punch to it and the dry, sweet astringency, lingers inside the mouth. Taste like a cross of a Bada & Yiwu mountains. Very very pleasant.

This is one of those teas that you must stock in a lager quantity, because quite frankly, there are days that nothing else will do! I love the lingering qualities of this tea, with it’s sweetness and warming of the face, upper chest and down the arms. Such a treat and extremely delicious. I personally can’t imagine anything that I want to add to this tea. It delivers an absolutely perfect cup.
BTW: I have an yixing that is dedicated to strictly milk oolongs, and this tea is my favorite to brew from this pot.

Nice oak aroma with very nice young muscadine contrasting astringency and sweetness. There seems to be plenty of immediate numbing to the back of the tounge and warmness to the lower jaw and upper chest. This one has good strength and and the liquor is full in the mouth.

This one is the 2014 release.
This tea is invigorating and remarkably refreshing! It’s fragrance is delightful – like a freshly cut field after a spring rain. The taste is no less remarkable and the leaves are good for many steepings. There is smoothness to the sip, yet there is complexity to the texture and a medium fullness in the mouth. I’d say there are hints of stewed butter beans in its brew, with lingering taste of sweetness afterwards. What a special tea and one of a kind!
