292 Tasting Notes
I had this in my go-cup after visiting with my friend yesterday afternoon. It was amazingly blueberry-y, but I much prefer the berry flavor in Prairie Berry. And I think I prefer the oolong base. But still a delicious tea, I had no problem finishing it. Yum!
Preparation
I got my best friend into loose leaf tea last week, and she just went to DavidsTea over the weekend and picked up a bunch of stuff. Today, she sent me home with little samples of a few different varieties. This is the first one I made for myself, and WOW. I wasn’t really sure what to think from the smell, it had an overwhelming alcohol smell and I was quite impressed… but not sure it would be for me. But the taste is so buttery and sweet and delicious, I am blown away. Delicious tea, as everyone before me has said. I think we are getting a tin of this in our next order.
Preparation
Two pretty decent steeps from this tonight. First steep was definitely better, but my second steep was still quite tasty. I love this tea, especially in the evening, and I can’t wait to get my tin this week. I’m already wondering if 100g is enough, haha!
Preparation
I managed to get three delicious steeps out of this today, chocolate-y and banana-y and fantastic. I am seriously regretting not ordering more of this, because it is damn good.
Preparation
Did you notice any loss in chocolate flavor between steeps? I love stormy night, but thought all the chocolate dissolved in the first steep. Also, do you think they will keep this one on the menu for awhile, even though it’s seasonal?
Yeah, I think it’s less chocolate-y, maybe… but not really in a bad way. I think it retains it’s flavor alright. I was also adding honey, which may have helped keep it tasting sweet and dessert-y. I don’t normally add honey.
I’m still coughing. It’s getting ridiculous. So… more Prairie Berry tea with honey for this puppy. I’m learning to appreciate the bit of honey, even though I prefer it without. This is such a great, flavorful tea. Big fan, I’ll be sad when my 50g is done.
Preparation
I normally love this tea, but it really didn’t work for me today. It was just too strong, even the second steep. I think I’ll use a little less leaf next time. I’m a bit disappointed, I was so looking forward to a few cups of this to soothe my achies a bit before having to go out tonight.
Preparation
I had some work to do this afternoon, so I needed a little kick to get me going. This is mellow, but has a bit of bite, and it’s perfect for today. I’m not overly excited about this tea, but it’s definitely tasty. Now, I’m waiting for the people I have to interview to call me back, watching The Office, and wishing I had the energy to get ready for a concert I have to go to tonight.
I wonder if this one will be any good re-steeped.
