So convenient to have this great tool. It is a bit loud but works like a dream, I even bought another to keep at work. I highly recommend this kettle.

I’ve had this kettle for several months now and I really like it. The ease of use is great and I find the temps to be quite accurate. It’s important not to fill past the max fill line as the water can boil out of the kettle.
It is pretty loud, however, I do like the stay warm feature. And I’m guessing it is kind of loud for a longer stretch of time when this feature is used. The black writing is starting to come off of the most frequently used buttons. I have noticed that this is a pretty common problem. Also, I find the beeps that alert you that the water has reached the selected temp to be a little quiet. Especially given how noisy the kettle is In general.
Having said that, I am overall quite pleased with it.

This thing is great! It heats water up quite fast and holds its temp fairly well. I’ve been using this or about 8 months now(I don’t review items i have yet to put to good use, unless its poor quality is what keeps it from getting used)

Pros;
Heats Fast about 10 mins for boiling water in a freezing cold room (just above 32F/0C)
Holds Temp for 30 mins with the hold temp optionand with the lid closed for a decent amount of time given the lack of insulation (compared to a hot water dispenser by zojirushi)

Cons;
Loud in small rooms, I use one of these for my job and the room is quite large so its barely audible, but i have one in my bedroom for personal use and it out shines my television somedays. Truly this is my only complaint that can be counted against the product the only other con is that it “pops” the surge protector i have it plugged into in my tea corner but that can be fixed with a better protector.

I’ve had this for a couple of years now and it still works as if it’s brand new. I love this thing. It’s so easy to use and has a decent water capacity. I haven’t tested the “accuracy” of the water temperature but my cups of tea turn out perfect every time imo. There is also a filter by the spout that can be replaced if needed. I recommend this kettle to all of my tea-loving friends.

LASTED FOUR YEARS! Not too bad! Read on for deets…

This morning I was making the tea for our weekly tea party when I noticed water all over the countertop. Earlier, I had seen some bubbles skittering through the window of the water level window in the kettle and thought it was odd since I have never seen that before. I should have paid more attention to that, because it was an indicator that my kettle was leaking. Those were air bulbbles as little drops of water slipped out of the base of the handle and ran into the bottom heating ring.

It can still be used but the leak will surely only grow. I have had this kettle for four years, so I feel that this isn’t too surprising. It gets a lot of use. I will probably buy exactly the same kettle to replace it, because it really does have great capacity and is quite useful. I will ask hubby first if it can be fixed….he can do anything, so if he says no then it is truly gone.

This is the kettle I use, too! I actually have two, one for work. :)

I just got this one for my birthday last June (my first electric kettle) and I’ve been loving it.

I am still getting things set up for hubby’s tea station at work. I told him he would need a variable temp kettle if he doesn’t want to babysit the water and take temps.

Also, we were due to go to the beach, and last year I really disliked heating the water in the kettle on the glass stovetop. In fact, I hated cooking on it at all. It was very slow and not at all energy efficient, so I even planned the meals this time to use the microwave and oven mostly.

I decided to buy this kettle to take to the beach and then send it to work with hubby. (Naturally, when we got to the beach house we always rent they had replaced the stove. Yay! I don’t care, the kettle is still the easiest and quickest way to go.)

It is super easy to use. You can operate it right out of the box. It has a larger capacity than my Krups that I use at home. I bought this instead of the Krups because I thought a glass kettle might be a bad idea for the workplace, but the larger capacity is making me have second thoughts. I want this for home! The Krups is more attractive to me, but this one would be a time saver for our Wednesday tea parties and for our puerh and oolong sessions.

It has a nice gentle chime when it reaches your chosen temp, and has a thirty minute Keep Warm feature. It also has boil dry protection. It has a replaceable scale filter, too.

Bottom line, I really like it, it has great features, and higher capacity than many I have seen. I got mine at Bed, Bath, and Beyond using the ubiquitous 20% off coupon.

My tea oasis at work includes this very kettle. Have had it for about a year and it works like a champ.

ashmanra

Good to know! I might trade with him because I love the capacity of this one!

Conchobar

Yep, the capacity is nice. Fill it in the morning and I am good to go for the day.

I just got this kettle about a month ago to replace my plastic electric kettle that wasn’t working properly. I had gift certificates to use up from my wedding so I decided to go all out and get a super-fancy dancey kettle. This was my choice. It’s regular $120 and I would never normally spend that much on something that just heats up water, but it was free for me (Well, actually, I paid $30 cause I only had $90 in gift certificates) and I use a kettle more than any other appliance so I figured what the hay?

I don’t think I will ever be able to go back to a basic kettle. I love the fact that my green tea is made perfectly every time and there is no waiting game with letting the water cool down. I love that I’m not heating my water in plastic (this kettle is stainless steel), the keep warm option, the alert that goes off if it is on and there is no water in the kettle, and the little beep that goes off when the water is ready (others have said it’s too quiet; I don’t find that so- but then again I live in an apartment). Others have claimed that this kettle is loud, but I find it’s quieter than other electric kettles I’ve used. I think all electric kettles are going to be quite a bit louder than stovetop ones. I guess it depends on what you’re used to.

I’ve had this kettle for over three years now, and it’s still working perfectly. My favorite feature here is that the kettle can boil water then cool it down to a specific temperature – which can be important for getting the best flavor in some teas.

Though I’ve been happy with this kettle, I’m hoping to upgrade to the Breville One Touch soon!

Easy to use and while temperatures are not perfectly accurate its darn close.

Found mine at Bed, Bath & Beyond and the always available 20% off coupon was a nice discount.

I just bought this kettle yesterday, so my review will not really touch on any long-term problems it might have.

When I went to purchase an electric tea kettle I was looking for one that would let me set the temperature for the different types of tea I would be drinking. There were only four options for me and this was the only one that provided that. It was about $50 more expensive than the other ones as well.

SET-UP: It provides you with 6 different temperatures for 6 different types of teas. Delicate, Green, White, Oolong, French Press, and Boil (for black). I adored this feature. There is also a small meter that lights up bright blue (I find this very cool) that tells you how much water you have in the pot. There is also a “Keep Warm” button that you can press, and it will keep your water at that temp for up to 30 minutes. Besides the open and start button, that’s it, which makes it super simple to use.

PROS: I’ve already used it five times since getting it yesterday and it has not let me down. It does what it is supposed to perfectly, and also looks really freaking sweet in my opinion. It’s also super fast I think.

CONS: However, it does get very hot on the outside, which was something I was hoping it wouldn’t do since I have a pesky cat who likes to jump on the counters and sniff everything. When I touched it after setting it to boil, I burnt my hand in almost a second, so I have to really keep on eye on it for awhile during my tea sessions. The beep the signals when the water is done is also very quiet and you can hardly hear it when boiling the water. Oh, and I also forgot to mention its very loud. Almost louder than my previous basic stove top kettle. I can also see how down the line, cleaning it may become very annoying. I haven’t had to do it yet, but it looks like it would be hard to fit your hand in there and simply scrub it out. It would be a tight squeeze.

Overall though, it does what I wanted it to do so I can’t complain. I enjoy it and it’s so much faster than what I had to do before with my basic tea kettle, waiting forever for it to get to the right temp. and having to keep a close eye on the thermometer!

I have had this kettle for 4 months now and it is a must have. Before i bought this I used a stove top kettle because i didn’t see the need to spend more than 20 dollars on a way to heat up water. But i was wrong, far wrong. It used to seem like such a hassle to make tea, however it is now easier than making coffee. The kettle is very easy to use, it heats up very quickly, and keeps the temperature for 30 minutes. You can also press the keep warm button again after 30 minutes and it will do another cycle. Yes it is 100 dollars but if you drink tea as much as I do then I’m 100% confident you will not regret this purchase. Forgot to mention there is a 3 year warranty which replaces any kettle that poops out.( Mine is still working flawless after 3-4 uses daily for 4 months.)

I love this kettle. It is worth the price. Controls are simple. It heats quickly, a full kettle goes from zero to boil in about 5 minutes. Not the quietest thing on the market, but it’s not obnoxious. It beeps when ready, and the keep warm feature will maintain the temperature of your water for 30 minutes.

Settings for:
160/delicate…175/green…185/white…190/oolong…200/french press…boil/black

Highly recommend.

I love this kettle. The temperature settings are taking my tea drinking to a whole new level making sure I’m steeping at the appropriate temperature. And I love the keep warm feature for when I need more than one cup.

I bought this late last year from Canadian Tire and it was worth the money. My old kettle was just ‘turn on and leave’, while this one I can set to the temperature that my tea tins say for the best brew.
Don’t really know how I lived without it.

I received this kettle as an anniversary gift from my boyfriend about a year ago. I probably use it 1-2 times a day and have been doing so for about a year now. I personally love it. It has multiple temperatures it can heat at for different teas, and heats very fast. The only beef I have with it is that it goes from 190 degrees to 200, and I have some teas that require 195 degrees, but no biggie. I would definitely recommend this kettle if anyone is looking for one.

I love this kettle, though it is my first one. Before this I was using the stove or hot water from my Keurig for tea. Once I realized how much better certain teas were with more precise water temps, and that I was breaking my Keurig with 5-8x daily use, I found this. Got it 20% off at Bed Bath and Beyond with one of those coupons, and it is my most used and loved appliance. I have had it 8-9 months and it is still going strong. Should it pass for some reason, I will absolutely be repurchasing.

I love this thing!

I’ve owned this kettle for 4 months now (since Aug 2013) and use it every day throughout the day. When using a baking thermometer, the temperature comes is about +/- 1 or 2 degrees within the desired temperature which is pretty accurate to me. I couldn’t be happier.

If you held a gun to my head and asked me to tell you something negative about this kettle, the only thing I’d come up with is that the ink on the Green Tea button (175 deg) has worn off from constant use.

This is a handy kettle that is very consistent. This is my first kettle to have multiple preset temperatures and I find them to be very accurate. This makes for a perfect gift for a beginning tea drinker because it allows you to define temperature control without being overly complicated. Its very sturdy and I have no problems heating water and taking the pitcher away, its stays hot for quite a while.

BEWARE! While this kettle is amazing for a while, it is known for dying after a few months of use.

I’ve been using this for about 8 months now and I do love it. I’ve tested the water temperature for the buttons and I find that they are not 100% accurate, and they are certainly not accurate for the type of tea the buttons specify but I always boil water anyway and then cool it manually. It can be a bit loud, but I just turn the music up. Basically it does it’s job nicely and the preset buttons can be useful if you are aware of the exact temperature they reach.

i find it slightly unnerving that is says you drank this kettle…

Thanks for the cautions. It is easy to forget a kettle needs keeping and maintenance.

I bought these because they were inexpensive and I knew that Sam’s would take them back if we were not happy with them. I am keeping them because they are inexpensive, but I will say up front that these don’t touch the JoeMo!

I made tea Sunday morning and put my tea in my JoeMo and my daughter’s tea in the Cuisinart. The first sign that these were not as high quality as the JoeMo was immediate. When I picked them up to carry them out to the car my JoeMo was cool to the touch and the Cuisinart was warm, so even though it boasts double wall steel construction it was losing more heat through radiant heat loss. When I first put the lid on, some water ran out from somewhere, but it wasn’t tea so I think it was trapped in some part of the lid from where I had rinsed it.

These will be used to hold hot chocolate when we are going to drink it rather soon, but I wouldn’t trust them to keep tea hot for hours and hours like the JoeMo. One good suggestion in the instructions – have the drinking button open when you put the lid on so the pressure will be balanced. I have to do that with the JoeMo, too, but I don’t remember seeing it in their instructions.
