I am still getting things set up for hubby’s tea station at work. I told him he would need a variable temp kettle if he doesn’t want to babysit the water and take temps.
Also, we were due to go to the beach, and last year I really disliked heating the water in the kettle on the glass stovetop. In fact, I hated cooking on it at all. It was very slow and not at all energy efficient, so I even planned the meals this time to use the microwave and oven mostly.
I decided to buy this kettle to take to the beach and then send it to work with hubby. (Naturally, when we got to the beach house we always rent they had replaced the stove. Yay! I don’t care, the kettle is still the easiest and quickest way to go.)
It is super easy to use. You can operate it right out of the box. It has a larger capacity than my Krups that I use at home. I bought this instead of the Krups because I thought a glass kettle might be a bad idea for the workplace, but the larger capacity is making me have second thoughts. I want this for home! The Krups is more attractive to me, but this one would be a time saver for our Wednesday tea parties and for our puerh and oolong sessions.
It has a nice gentle chime when it reaches your chosen temp, and has a thirty minute Keep Warm feature. It also has boil dry protection. It has a replaceable scale filter, too.
Bottom line, I really like it, it has great features, and higher capacity than many I have seen. I got mine at Bed, Bath, and Beyond using the ubiquitous 20% off coupon.

My tea oasis at work includes this very kettle. Have had it for about a year and it works like a champ.

Good to know! I might trade with him because I love the capacity of this one!
Yep, the capacity is nice. Fill it in the morning and I am good to go for the day.
