One of the most annoying things about stress is that when I am going to be very busy, I then have a terrible nights sleep because my brain refuses to shut up about all that might be happening.
Ugh. Not helpful, brain, not helpful.
So a nice cup of an easy, uncomplicated tea is just what the doctor ordered. Help me, Paris! You are my only hope.

If you know where to buy a pillow that does not trigger every unresolved issue from the past week, decade, or millennium as soon as your head hits it, please let me know. I want to buy a dozen.
I’ve been going to sleep listening to audiobooks with narrator’s voices that I like. It helps my brain calm down and focus on one thing instead of Ping-Ponging around a zillion.
Ah the brain is never thinking the good thoughts. But controlling the thoughts is a skill that can be learned, but like most things it takes effort and practice. Try NSDR non-sleep deep rest on YouTube or concentrate on breathing and throwing away all your thoughts (I like thinking of them rushing away down a flowing stream or on a boat getting further and further away on a lake). The other trick I use is a piece of sports tape vertically across my mouth. Prevents mouth breathing and you will be concentrating on breathing through your nose instead of the thoughts swirling in your head.
Love the Star Wars reference :)!

I need that pillow as well!
