Thank you for the sample, MissB!

This tea is a hibiscusy mess. I knew it would be going in (and it’s only a mess because it’s not my favourite flavour). The ginger shines through in flavour and heat. The orange is discernible. I suppose the elderberries add sweetness, but I needed honey. Wow, did I ever.

I looked up the tea on their website rather than flipping the package over for steeping instructions. 1/2 tbsp for 5 min, OK I can do that. I had just over 1 tbsp in the bag for a big 16 oz mug. And then after I added the water and put down the packet, I noticed it said “1 tsp per cup”. So yeah. Let that be a lesson or something.

If you like hibiscus and ginger, this could be for you. It would be fantastic iced, for sure. I might do that with the second steep. Sadly it’s just not for me. The ginger is amazing, but the hibiscus is just too much for me without a spoonful of honey, and I’m trying to avoid that. :)
