I love this tea store. They have a bit of everything – unusual and rare teas, standard flavoured, everything in between. The owner is a total tea geek, and knows my mom by sight. We even went in on a super busy weekend afternoon, and he took some time to chat with her about the teas she picked up last time. So great.

They also have an AMAZING selection of teaware, WOW. So incredible. Timolinos, stout pots, different thermoses, local ceramics, ceramic tourmaline mugs and travel cups, and even more. Yeah, it’s not the cheapest, but the prices are very comparable to most other tea shops, and the service is excellent.

There is no tea to go, nor a seating area. This is purely a tea shop. That’s pretty much the only downside!

I’m pretty impressed with the selection they have. Lots and lots of rooibos, fruit teas and herbals. They even carry some Mountain Rose Herb blends, which is nice to see.

The prices are a little higher than most stores that carry similar items (it seems like a lot of smaller tea shops order from the same suppliers), but they have a different variety of blends, both flavoured and straight.

I will definitely be returning.

Pretty pleased with this store. There are local ceramics, cutesy ceramics, honeys, chocolates made with tea, other knickknacks, and then the tea itself. What I tried is all pretty decent quality at very reasonable prices. I mostly tried herbal/fruit teas and flavoured blacks. Not much that’s super duper fancy, but definitely a worthwhile alternative to the flavoured teas from Teavana or DavidsTea. The person working when I went in dealt with 4 of us and our ridiculous lists. We each ended up with about 5 teas, and we felt welcome to sit at the tables and divvy everything up.

Note: This rating isn’t for the staff, who were lovely. It’s because I feel the teas do not deserve those kinds of prices. Just ridiculous.

Anyways, the store has a lovely set up. All the fancy (expensive) accessories are just amazing. Way out of my price range, though.

As far as the teas, they are selling TWG. Most of the flavoured stuff is extremely highly flavoured, like incense and perfume. Some was nose-burningly strong, some smelled delicious, and some I wanted to scent my room with. I got one of the cheapest teas at $9/50g. I would like to try more, as some of their flavour combos are really interesting, but the prices are such that I would much prefer to get 10-25g to try, and then if I truly love it, I could splash out for special occasions.

Another problem is that they don’t list ingredients, just flavour notes. Not so useful when people I hang out with regularly have horrible allergies and sensitivities to a multitude of foods.

I’ve found the staff to be generally fairly cheerful and helpful. Sadly it looks like most of their fruit tisanes have the same sour herbal base that is mostly hibiscus and rosehips. I really don’t care for that.

Unfortunately the ingredients on their website and on some of the teas in store are not complete. This is a huge let down for me, as being able to see the ingredients is extremely important due to multiple allergies and sensitivities in my household.

Otherwise, I’ve had a few teas from there and they’ve all been decent. Nothing spectacular (yet).

Pretty nice! A little small, but the tea is all nicely displayed and the staff who was there was lovely.

Another good place to study. They even have the occasional “gluten free” (in quotes because it’s a shared use kitchen) treats available! I like getting a pot of tea and sitting there to study.

To be honest, I mostly go here to drink bubble tea or randomly flavoured milkshakes and study. I think I’ve had hot tea once and I don’t remember what it was (probably Earl Grey). That being said, it’s an excellent place to get a cup of something and study.
