drank Chocolate Rocket by DAVIDsTEA

Things are so crazy right now !

Good crazy, though. I just got a huge promotion at work and it changes everythig for the absolute best : my schedule, my pay, my responsibilities, everything ! It’s just amazing. But I’ve been very busy because of that, lots of preparation, lots of training, and not much time for tea. I’ve been running around at work which means that I’ve forgotten my perfectly good tea in my timolino for hours only to not feel like drinking this particular one after all that time… Like yesterday, I brought a full tumbler of Chocolate Rocket, totally forgot about it, and then I didn’t feel like it at all because it’s a tea I like to drink in the morning…

So anyway, today, it’s Saturday, so I just made myself another cup of Chocolate Rocket to make up for the full tumbler I wasted yesterday. And it’s still as awesome as always. Yay !

Ok, so this is amazing !!!!

Last weekend I had a bad cold and was angry because I didn’t get any of the cold fighting teas from David… So I went online and ordered the cold survival kit. Of course by the time it arrived my cold was gone. Oh, well ! 5 more teas to try !! :)

I didn’t think I would care about this one too much. Let’s face it, it’s rooibos ! But it doesn’t taste rooibos one bit. Just ginger, a whole lot of ginger, and the spicy kick from pepper. Just amazing. I’m almost looking forward to having another cold so I can try it with a sore throat… lol ! If you love ginger, you’ll love this.

This is very good. I don’t know if I’m crazy though but what I can mostly taste is rose, not pomegranate or even fruit. It reminds me a lot of a rose green tea I have, actually it’s not that much different although maybe a bit more sweetness from the fruit. Anyway, I like it and I can’t wait to try it iced as I’m sure it’s even better.

I’m not totally sure yet, I will have to give it another try.

The dry smell reminded me of David’s Coco Chai Rooibos, which I enjoy very much, so I couldn’t help but compare the taste. I like David’s Coco Chai Rooibos way better, but this is still quite nice I think. I don’t taste the chai part enough though, it’s mostly lemongrass and light coconut. As I said, I’m not totally sure. I’ll have more of an opinion when I try it again I guess.

This is very interesting. I had heard The Persimmon Tree was very good with their coconut flavouring, and now I get why. It doesn’t taste like overly sweet coconut that you find in many desserts. It tastes just like real, fresh coconut water.

That being said, I do like the overly sweet coconut taste from desserts. But this is unique and I really like it. Very smooth, very light, and you can still taste the white tea base which is awesome. Yes, very interesting indeed !

It’s been a week since my last log, wow ! I sort of changed jobs this week (it’s complicated but let’s just say I had a lot going on and a lot of pressure too), plus I have a big cold that started at the end of the week. Arfff. I just wish I had bought some of the cold survival kit teas from David’s Tea when I went a couple of weeks back. :(

This one is OK, but not amazing. I liked the smell of the dry leaf a lot, probably because of the juniper berries, but there’s rooibos in it. I hate rooibos with a passion. It doesn’t taste too much though, that’s a plus, but there’s still that lingering aftertaste of medecine that I despise so much. I’m sure I would like this herbal much more if it wasn’t for the rooibos.

I have drunk so many new teas in the last few days but I haven’t had time to log them… Oh well, I’ll do it next time, when it’s my second try!

This one is my first try . The smell of the dry leaf was not as nice as I expected, but I like the smell of the brewed tea. Both this smell and the taste remind me of Santa’s Secret, which is one of my favorite, probably because the coconut makes it very creamy and the peppermint is quite strong with a nice black base. I like it a lot, but since I have a 100g tin of Santa’s Secret I won’t need to buy any more soon :)

I’m pleasantly suprised with this one. It’s very, very nice.

Firstly I get spearmint (which is my favorite kind of mint) followed by a nice citrusy flavor, mostly orange and a bit of lemon. It’s so refreshing.

Plus those huge gooseberries are awesome !

drank Glitter & Gold by DAVIDsTEA

It’s funny because I never would have thought to compare this one with Pumpkin Chai, but yesterday I had a “tea party” with my friend and she made me realize they smelled very similar. And then I had a cup of Pumpkin Chai and she had a cup of Glitter & Gold so we compared the two and they are in fact quite similar. But Pumpkin Chai definitely has something more.

Anyway today I decided to finish what I had left of this one. I really enjoyed it but now that I have a lot of Pumpkin Chai available, I’m not too sad to see it go!

drank Citron Oolong by DAVIDsTEA

I’m not sure…

I love lemon tea, I love jasmin tea and I think I love oolong tea, so I thought this tea would be amazing especially since the smell was intoxicating. But I don’t know. It’s not bad, but not nearly as good as I expected. I can taste jasmine and I can taste lemon but I’m not sure they go well together.

I’m quite new to tea. Like many people, the tea brand that got me started into loose leaf tea was Davids Tea. It was about 2 or 3 months ago. My first try was Pumpkin Chai and I was blown away.

I started mostly because I was looking for something that would satisfy my sugar cravings without all the calories, and also for the health benefits. I soon realized the world of tea was way larger than what I originally thought, and I’m glad I’m now a part of it !

I’m way intense when I get into something, so I bought too many kinds of loose tea leaf, trying to figure out which ones I would like best… So far, I mostly enjoy flavoured black, green or oolong teas. Anything floral, fruity, minty or sweet is great. I like dessert teas and also enjoy chai teas. The only thing I can’t stand is rooibos. I’ve tried several blends and I had to either give them away or put them in the trash.

Other stuff I’m into include traveling, language learning, TV series, yoga, Harry Potter, reading, writing, eating too much and hiking.
