142 Tasting Notes
I bought this because it smelled like banana nut bread in the bag, mmmm… perfect for winter!
It somewhat loses it’s smell after steeping though.
Nice color looks like caramel, I get more Chamomile than anything else, not even the slightest bit sweet…ok gonna try and sweeten it with agave nectar and see what happens.
hmmm still mostly chamomile but now slightly sweet, with a barely there banana taste…disapointing, but great if you’re trying to sleep
Preparation
In the bag this tea smells like cookies! I just couldn’t resist trying it.
As it steeps the water turn a very pretty shade of pink, very girlie.
steeped the tea smells pretty much the same as it did dry which is a first for me.
the taste is very nutty, it taste a lot like how it smells, no surprises, if you like the smell you’ll like the taste. i’m getting a little bit of bitterness from the apple and the rest is nuts!
I like this but don’t know that i would buy a whole tin of this.
Preparation
I bought this on the recommendation of Jeremy at David’s Tea, I love coconut but i’ve found that most coconut teas aren’t quite meeting my wanted level of cocnuttyness.
the dry leaves smell like coconut but not as strong as i would of liked.
Steeped the smell is much stronger and I’m starting to get excited!
the taste delivers! is perfectly coconut, strong but not sickening, just right!
I’m picturing myself on a beach right now….most definitely going to try spiking this with some rum on the weekend!
Preparation
this tea is so pretty to look at it makes me feel like a princess!!
The dry leaves definitely smell like cinamon, so soothing.
while steeping the cinamon really shines! my office smells likes i’ve got cinamon buns in the oven!
The tea is shimering! So pretty it feels like i’m watching a lava lamp.
Mmmmm…the taste is really nice, the cinamon isn’t too strong, and the black tea is present with a hint of sweetness at the end.
Ok this is one of my new favorites!
Preparation
I love grape juice, or actually grape drink, reminds me of being a kid and my dad would take me to harvey’s and get that grape “juice” they used to have. that and the onion rings were the only reason i would go there…ok getting off topic lol.
The dry leaves smell kind of like that grape juice tasted.
When steeping you really smell the grape but you also get a distinct floral smell too.
The taste is not what i expected, not as grapey as i thought it would be but still very nice, i would definitely do this tea again when i’m in the mood for something sweet.
Note: when spooning this out make sure to try and get a little from each componant, I’ve noticed that the tea tastes a little different each time depending on how much of each ingredient ends up in your cup.
Preparation
I bought this tea because it was on the top rated David’s tea list, I love coconut rum so hopefully this work out for me, I like the smell of the dry tea but love the smell of the steeping tea, I can already smell the butteryness! ok ok butterryness isn’t a word, but it should be!
Nice dark color, kinda reminds me of spiced rum!
Wow i really taste the rum! it even cleared up my sinuses a little! next thing i get is the vanilla and little bit of coconut. it’s got a buttery feeling in my mouth and throat.
Ok now I see why this is such a popular tea! Well done David’s tea!
Preparation
This tea smells amazing! Just like a creamsicle! As it steeps I get more orange scents, actually it kind of smells like orange skittles taste. you definitely need to like orange for this tea.
the liquid is an orangy color which i think is appropriate, Wow the taste is all about the orange, it the first thing that hits you then you get the creaminess of the chocolate and then a slight hit of bitter there at the end, definitely sweet.
final verdict: Good tea but it smells better than it tastes.
Preparation
I would like to start by saying that I love coconut and lime and this tea seemed made for me.
I sampled it at the store (David’s tea has a tea of the day) and loved the lime coconut flavor and smell, i bought 25g to try it and see if i like this, warning 25g does not get you a lot of tea it’s very heavy and dense so you get maybe 3 or 4 cups out of this.
upon steeping you really smell the lime!
the lime is what really shines here but you get the black tea as well, the coconut is more in the aftertaste, very smooth and creamy.
Nice pick me up on a day like today, while theres a snow storm outside i can imagine myself on a beach sipping a margarita!
Preparation
I added some agave nectar after my first few sips, i guess the lime and cocnut had me thinking beach, with a beach comes sand and with sand comes cactus! ok i know i’m reaching for an excuse lol, but it does change the taste makes this even better takes alittle bit of the tartness of the lime away, really nice!
