687 Tasting Notes
On a rainy day such as this, I like to have black tea. The scent is very nice, certainly honey and a bit sweet. There is a sweet flavour, nice but a little strong. Also somewhat floral.
Not sure what I was expecting, but overall pretty good.
Flavors: Floral, Honey, Sweet
Captain’s Personal Log-
I’ve sent the crew to a planet with nice beaches for shore leave. Most of them have been playing this farming game (Stardew Valley) on the Holodeck. So I decided we needed to get off the ship for a while. The engineering team built an impressive sandcastle, with a working drawbridge. Based on an old French castle.
One of the locals offered me this tea. There is a stronger bergamot scent than I usually have in this blend. In fact, the flavour is like that too. Comes across as slightly on the smoky side. Especially towards the end of the cup.
As we ended up with a large amount, I hope the mess hall can use it to make something.-End Log
Flavors: Bergamot, Burnt Sugar, Citrus, Smoked
I’ve been wanting to try this tea for a while. And it came in the post today. Huzzah! There is a nice scent of citrus and vanilla. The flavour is bergamot with sweet caramel. Very good for my evening Stardew Valley session.
Thanks to James for the sample.
Flavors: Bergamot, Caramel, Citrus, Vanilla
My summer tea. There is a nice scent when brewed. The apricot really comes out. Brandy is a little stronger in the dry leaf though. The flavour is sweet and apricot, and reminds a little of pastry. Having another cup while tending to my virtual farm.
Flavors: Apricot, Brandy, Pastries
“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that one must have tea while reading British classics”. When first brewed, it is a tiny bit smoky. There is a malty caramel scent. (And maybe some sweet potato too.) The flavour is sweet, with malty notes, and hints of roasted yams. Comes across darker than yesterday’s selection.
Thanks for the sample, Teavivre!
Flavors: Caramel, Malt, Molasses, Sweet Potatoes, Yams
Audio books (on disc) are rather nice. I can listen to a story while tending my virtual farm. The dry leaf has more of a peach scent, and the brew is mostly vanilla. Very good either way. It smells rather summery. There is a nice vanilla flavour, with notes of peach.
Flavors: Creamy, Peach, Vanilla
